AI tyre temperatures and general degradation.

It's been a repeating trend over the years in EA and Codemasters F1 games that the AI don't seem to suffer the same high tyre temperatures and wear rate as the players car. With the tyre wear being more excessive this year on the players car, this is starting to become more of an issue.

The front left tyre at Silverstone is absolutely knackered early on into the first stint, even on the medium. What tends to happen is after about 4 or so laps the AI start to reel you back in at a rapid rate. This has to be tyre temperature and tyre wear differences between them and the player car.

This wasn't so much an issue in F123 and 24. But with the player car high tyre degradation in F125, the fun and realism just isn't there when the AI don't suffer half as much.

I'm really enjoying the game especially compared to 24. But again as I've always said "attention to detail" always seems to be lacking. In order to have a more realistic experience the AI surely must have similar tyre characteristics as the players car?

Either that or reduce the excessive tyre degradation on the players car to match that of the AI. Kind of spoils the immersion for me.

I know the AI do have tyre degradation simulated into the game, but just seems a bit out of kilter compared to the players car, especially in this year's game due to the players car having such high wear rates.

Even changing the simulation settings to surface only doesn't really fix the issue, it's mainly the tyre wear rate is too high on the players car for me at some tracks. At east have the AI having same issue would be much better.

Some changes are definitely required in this area, either reduce the tyre degradation of the players car or increase the AI tyre degradation. The difference between the two currently is way too big of a gap!  Please adjust it.

I completely agree. Tyre temperatures are a huge factor in F1 25, and while the player struggles with hot temperatures in tracks like Spain; AI just doesn't struggle with it becuase they have the tyre temperature locked at 90°. It's kind of absurd, because we have less grip and more degradation due to due hot tyre temperatures but AI doesn't.

they wont fix it. too busy deleting legitimate complaints and adding more shoes to the paid store.

  • I'm not having an issue with the tyre wear rates, frequently manage to one stop when the ai needs 2. I'll see how I get on in Spain, maybe that one is an outlier for me too!

  • Reporting on my experience with tyre temp/wear at the Saudi GP in career mode, on 100% distance. I am driving Ferrari (upgraded to be 3rd best car somewhat behind McLaren and Red Bull) and set my car up to be gentle on tyres but still within a tenth or two of Charles LeClerc in qualifying.

I completed the race with 2 stops, medium stint one 46% wear on front right highest number 18 laps, stint 2 mediums 43% wear front right 20 laps and stint 3 softs 41% wear front right 12 laps. Top teams AI did either medium, hard, hard or medium, medium, hard.

I came 2nd, 9 seconds behind Norris and 5 seconds ahead of LeClerc. Verstappen would've won but had an engine failure, so I was on target for 3rd. I use a wheel and typically would rate myself as a smooth driver capable of consistent laps (1-2 tenth spread), I dont use ABS or traction control.
