Autohotkey

I got the game this morning and played for an hour, since then I shut down my PC and loaded the game up once getting home. Now whenever I try and load the game via steam I get 'Software cannot be used at the same time as the game Please make sure it's not running, or restart your PC.: AutoHotKey', the issue is I don't have any programs called AutoHotKey on my PC and restarting has made no difference.

While your waiting on a technical explanation from Groguet, another user mentioned they were able to fix it by re-installing the launcher itself. You can leave all of your games installed just need to reinstall the EA App.

I'm getting the same issue but I don't even have a program named AutoHotKey installed that I can see. I was also perfectly fine to play earlier today :/

If I ever see it again, I'll link it for you, but I can't find it again either. I think it had a generic title like "Crash" or something so it may have been merged or renamed.

Have to say I launched the game on first run and it didn't flag the program that time, it was on the subsequent launch today.

For me, dissabling the Codec software on your PC helpped me get rid of that. However now for me there's a new problem where the splash screens shows up and just returns back to the EA app.

Did anyone get a fix for this?

Codec pack? That went out with the ark - no way you should be receiving that internet wisdom. If it won’t play in VLC, it’s not playing. Because the EAAC is a kernel check, just imagine what those “codecs” are doing….saving your pr0n history for an extortion attempt….

Uninstalled/reinstalled the game today, had the exact same scenario. First load up perfectly fine, played for 2 hours before it crashed for some reason, from then on got the autohotkey issue.

Quite shocked at the lack of care to even pick up on this since i've seen quite a few people have it now on steam forums as well as here.
