Checking back in on this - any plans to update?

Yeah, just like the RL drivers most hate the pre Miami specs and energy management. About time this was updated. Any improvement matching RL specs will make it better to drive. Like many, I no longer look forward to driving these cars.

It would be nice to have an update on this EA/Codemasters!

Checking back in again - can see why the actual drivers were so unhappy with the pre-Miami regulations. F1 had to change the rules. They did that for May 1-3 Miami race. It has been 3 months - any update??
If they are going to make any changes it would most likely come with the "Sports Update" in September.
I might just be imagining this next part because I can't find the thread anymore, but I could have sworn that back when the DLC first came out someone had done some data mining and found that some of the changes were already in the game. We never figured out why it was only some of the changes, but even if they do update the rest, I'm not sure how noticeable it will be since we are already part way there.

Thanks for the update! What is the "Sports Update"?
Since the Miami race was about a full month prior to the release of the game it would certainly be possible some changes were in the game. However, to your point, it would be nice to know so we can better understand how to manage the energy system. It is a constant task in the game.
The Sports Update is what they call the big update where they add the new F2 cars, update F1 car performance etc. So, if they are going to adjust something that has a big impact on the cars (like energy management) it will most likely come then. They haven't announced a date yet, but usually it is sometime in September. My guess is that it will be tied in with the launch of Season 8 as well.
