F1 26 / F1 27 – Quality of Life Suggestions for Online & Spectator Modes

Hello everyone,

I’d like to share a few suggestions for a future update (F1 26), or even for F1 27 if time constraints don’t allow these changes to be implemented sooner.
These are not major feature requests, but rather quality-of-life improvements that would significantly enhance the overall player experience.

ONLINE GRAND PRIX MODE

• Allow players to select tyres inside the garage, not before the session starts.
  Let me explain: in our championships, we use dynamic weather, so we don’t know in advance whether conditions will be dry or wet.
  Currently, tyre selection happens before the weather is known, which prevents players from adapting their tyre choice to actual race conditions.
• Fix penalty system bugs.
  There are still too many tracks with penalty issues (especially Melbourne), where players receive automatic 3-second penalties without any warning, sometimes even multiple 3-second penalties for a single off-track incident.
• Display used tyre wear percentage in the MFD
  Displaying the wear percentage of used tyre sets in the MFD would help players plan their pit stop strategy more accurately and select the most appropriate tyre compound during the race.

SPECTATOR MODE

• Add a free camera option for spectators.
  In online championships, spectators are often limited to poorly placed or unhelpful camera angles.
• Enable the start/finish line tracking camera for race starts.
  There is a cable-mounted camera running along the start/finish straight that provides an excellent view of the race start.
  It would be great to have access to this camera in spectator mode to better follow the launch phase.
• Additional camera options during Safety Car periods
  When a Safety Car is deployed, it would be great to have multiple camera options linked to the Safety Car itself, such as onboard view, front view, and rear view.
  This would significantly improve immersion and make Safety Car phases more engaging to watch for spectators.

TIME TRIAL MODE

• Bring back weather selection.
  Drivers need to be able to practice in wet conditions.
  Time Trial should offer the same weather options as Online Grand Prix mode, including rain.
