Medium Steering Assist?

So, I'm pretty new to SIM racing. I'm not sure if F1 25 qualifies as a SIM, but that's a different conversation. I'm also new to using a wheel and pedals (came from controller).

I was struggling with the wheel transition. I decided I could use some assists until I get acclimated. It seems that steering assist is binary, it's either on or off. If it's on, then braking assist is set to high and can't be changed.

I really wanted light/medium assists for both steering and braking until I get better. Is this not possible? For now I've set the steering assist off, just to get the braking assist adjustable to medium.

    It is normal to start with some assists like TC medium and ABS. With steering assist you don't drive the car, AI does. For more immersion and realism try to drop all the assist one at the time. You will also make better times as the assists limit you.
