It's not been fixed, it's exactly the same. Zero difference. There is no mention of it being fixed in any of the patch notes.
Something this big with all of these complaints they would need to put out a statement on here detailing the fix.
I've tested it myself it's not fixed.
As I mentioned in another thread, I recently held off the AI in wet conditions on full wet tyres for the final 12-laps at China (full race distance - Driver Career - Grand Prix - SIM Rig - Cockpit View - PS5) to win by 5-seconds.
I found the AI behind me to be very challenging in the wet, ...but so they should be as I was in a (mid pack) Racing Bull, being hounded by superior Red Bull (Verstappen), and a Mercedes (Russell). However, I strictly maintained the racing line, I was patient on the throttle, I short-shifted, I used ERS whenever possible, and I was gentle with the brakes. ...and I maintained this concentration and discipline for lap after lap after lap.
It was a an extremely nerve-wracking final 12-laps at China on full wets, but it was also very satisfying as I eventually won by 5-seconds. This was MY most recent experience racing the AI in wet conditions, ...so yeah, I tested this too in racing conditions.
