I think they issue with the other racing games coming out for PS5 over the next year is that they are too similar to GT7 (I think)? Forza, Assetto, Project Motorsport are the ones, right? Great if they do add PSVR2 support, but I'd only get one of them if you can create offline and online custom championships with ai filling the gaps of non-player cars. I'm now set up with a PS5 original and PS5 Pro, along with two PSVR2s, so the wife and I can play multiplayer VR games together. GT7 gets a bit lonely with just the two us racing together (but still great). We could create an open lobby, but you never know what kind of person you will have join!
Now if we could just get F125 for PSVR2 on PS5, well then we could do full F1 seasons together and that'd be awesome. That's a vastly different game to GT7 and the games mentioned above in terms of having a fully licensed championship, with proper race weekends. I just wonder if GT7 VR players would play those other similar racing games as much if GT7 will always do a better job with it's VR mode. Same for flat drivers too I guess! Having played Forza and Project Cars myself, I would personally stick with GT7, but I would 100% play an F1 game in VR and end up putting way more hours in that than GT7. Possibly even doing full race distances as you don't get bored driving in VR!
