Re: 2026 season DLC

Another year of Ego Engine, bugs from 2022 and updates worked very well everytime. This will be a disaster.

While my expectations for the 2026 dlc are mild at best, the franchise needs a reset badly, so the news that their rebuilding the game for 27 is pretty exciting IMO. Just disappointed they didn't start this process last year (making 25 a DLC for 24) so we could have a rebuilt game for the start of the new irl regulations in 26.

All this means is they still wont use a new game engine, the one they have been promising for 4 years. So we wait another year with exactly the same game, exact same physics, exact same UI, literally everything the exact same except the car skins but we pay $70 for it. But hey, we might see some change in 2027 lol. They should be doing a brand new game engine for 2026 and if you want to expand on that then expand on the new game engine. Lets hope they are doing all this because they think they wont have the license in 2027 and we might get a developer who actually cares about the sport.

This is giving me F1 2014/15 vibes..... How are you only updating the old game going into a brand new season with wildly different regulations, an 11th team and a new track? The new cars will perform and handle very differently and there's no way they're putting out a brand new physics and handling model in an update..... So are we just getting reskinned cars with no DRS? 

How much are you planning on charging for this?

Perhaps that's why they didn't release a performance update this year. I reinstalled the game today and in the first free practice session I already saw that the update is needed; the AI ​​performance in free practice was mediocre. It's a shame they didn't include the 2025 drivers and liveries in F1 24. I don't have high expectations for this expansion.

It's worrying that we're only having one DLC in a year with such a huge regulatory change. Will it only be liveries and drivers? What about the new Madrid track? And the DRS? There are many questions we'll need answered.

EA, it's clear we need more information regarding the finer details of what we will be getting for F126 DLC.

As others have clearly stated there is a huge regulation change for next season and there are some genuine concerns that these may not be implemented and instead we just have new liveries and drivers etc.

I like the idea of a big reset and the implementation of a new game every two years. 

I think if there were no regulation changes in 26 then the announcement of the DLC would be less concerning. But literally everything will be different.

You need to clarify the plans to everyone.

EA_Groguet​ I wish you can use this sabbatic year to fix as many bug as possible and improve overall user experience, reproduction of the F1 rules etc., for example these are still on, they are small things, but when you stumble upon them they don't contribute to making the game better:

I genuinely hope there will be a posibility to continue from 2025 onward with 2026 based on real life moves. So basically like real life, but it's you in the career that can continue from 2025 to 2026 and keep your rating and stuff and just continue like you're already part of the championship, stay with the same team or respond to new offers before the 2026 season, and also update the current game to having new teams approach you (e.g. Audi).

I just started playing my 2025 1st season, and it would be nice to go from the 2025 season to the 2026 one after having the dlc launch and just time it well enough (my 2025 season finish with the 2026 launch and start playing that to continue thru my career. I thought it would be nice to have this continuity, and also have your stats transfer on the following games as well. I really hope EA would add this. It adds up to the authenticity. Yes the game is not fully polished and has a lot of potential but I'd love to start getting some of the cool features.
