🐞 URGENT BUG REPORT — Ranked Multiplayer (F1 25, PS5) — Thrustmaster SF1000
Platform: PS5
Wheel: Thrustmaster SF1000
Wheel Base: T-GT II
Game Version: F1 25 (Digital Edition)
Affected Mode: Ranked Multiplayer (Qualifying & Race)
---
🛠 Description of the Issue
When racing in Ranked Multiplayer, if I modify the setup (any parameter: wings, differential, suspension, etc.) during qualifying or race, the game breaks:
❌ Extreme understeer: the car barely turns, even when steering fully.
❌ Force Feedback completely disappears.
✅ Throttle and braking still work — but steering has no real effect.
This issue only happens in Ranked, not in Time Trial, Grand Prix, or offline modes. It’s 100% reproducible after touching the setup during the session
🧪 What I've Tried
Calibrating the wheel and pedals in-game.
Switching between control profiles during the session.
Using the default setup.
Clearing PS5 cache.
Reinstalling the game.
Testing in all other game modes (also same issue)
🧠 Root Cause Hypothesis
The issue seems to be a bug in how F1 25 handles input mapping and physics re-initialization after applying setup changes in Ranked sessions:
The steering axis becomes "disconnected" from the car physics.
FFB is lost, and front grip disappears completely (as if you're driving on ice).
Steering input still shows movement visually, but does not affect car behavior.
🔧 Please investigate and patch this bug urgently.
This bug makes RRankedans the others mode unplayable for anyone using the Thrustmaster SF1000, as setup changes completely break the car's steering and force feedback system.
We’re happy to provide more logs, videos, or tests if needed.
