The solution may not be fixing the AI but tweaking the player car to be faster in wet conditions. Personally I find even in the dry their grip coming out of corners to be superior to mine, so I would have to carry more speed through the corners to match their acceleration by 4th or 5th gear.
Agreed and that I think is the possible solution. As I mentioned above when using the automatic gearbox on a pad at least the short shifts are so fast even on a long straight the engine never reaches its peak power, that is a massive issue that's not even been picked up on by the development team. That's so poor and beyond embarrassing.
In addition the grip level and traction of the players car compared to the AI is severely lacking.
Of all the priority fixes in all of their F1 titles, this has to be the biggest of all priorities to resolve as soon as possible!
