I did comment back on a comment where the Codemasters team put the link to the community feedback update which obviously includes the AI issue. I’m not sure if they will comment back or when so I thought I would come to general discussions to see if anyone else can give an answer.On the Codemasters update about the AI issue they said if and what can be done to make it better. So does that mean that potentially there may not be a fix for the AI issue?

AI changes are required as soon as possible, especially in the wet. The game is unplayable for some in the wet. For example if using the automatic gearbox in the wet, peak power is never reached due to the gearbox short shifting even down the straights. The AI just fly past you.Things like this should have been picked up on prior to release. Literally unplayable like this.

It's the problem with yearly releases. Not given the time and resources to get it right. Just a example GTSophy started development in 2020. Sony has given the Dev team huge resources and support including use of their super computers. Only this year GTSophy has been made available to all single custom races. As it still has it's limitations. It's still a work in progress.Sony have most likely spent more on Sophy than what EA give codies to develop a years entire game. Wouldn't surprise me if it's multiple years games

The solution may not be fixing the AI but tweaking the player car to be faster in wet conditions. Personally I find even in the dry their grip coming out of corners to be superior to mine, so I would have to carry more speed through the corners to match their acceleration by 4th or 5th gear.

IanM282 I completely agree with you. The main reason I started the discussion is because they said if and what can be done and to me when they say if, it means that there may not be a way to fix the AI.If they are unable to fix the ai issue we have all paid all that money for a game with a major major flaw that should’ve been picked up when it was tested (but let’s be honest, if more than likely wasn’t tested).

That’s a good idea. It’s what I’m going to be doing from now on.

I do it with all games now. After 2-3 months they all become heavily discounted. More unbiased reviews by actual players are out. Plus now all games get released with issues and bugs. Most are generally fixed within the first couple of months

Last year I said I would wait, My Team looked good in its new clothes and my eldest was home for the summer so I bought it pre launch. I don’t want to say I am not having fun with the game, just not as much as I should.
Wet/dry is my biggest issue. Or at least shutting off the weather when they mess the AI settings up
Lack of customization in base liveries, helmets, suits, gloves, emblems, team wear, and sponsor decal colours is second.
The way regulation changes are handled is third.
After that I can live with it, even if my fully trained pit team has problems with the rear left more often they not.
