The functionality that allows you to talk to an engineer
will the feature that allows you to talk to the engineer via microphone be restored on ps5 or will it continue to be possible only on pc?

It’s frustrating that this is not resolved, as the current way of selecting a radio command is so clumsy to try and scroll thru while driving
Since it apparently won’t be done then please come up w a better strategy for radio calls
At least let us pick the order of the calls and/or limit which ones are on the list so its easier to navigate. Being able to assign specific ones to buttons or keyboard (even on console) would be nice as well

absolutely agree. If you use the MFD on anything other than a straight, you’ll bin it - and you have to know what commands are where otherwise you’ll run out of time.
Most commands are useless and don’t get used. Added to that, the MFD pages are too difficult to memorise as well as the general order of commands being dumb.
Made the suggestion a while back (in 23 IIRC) on my “Low hanging fruit thread” to be able to edit the commands on the first page of the MFD, since I knew about the PS voice issue and it was only a matter of time when they would bin the game on older consoles.
As someone who has PS5, for the last two games I used the PS4 version precisely for the voice commands - that’s just how big a deal it was for me.
Funnily enough I looked at the “low hanging fruit” threads I made for the last two games a few weeks ago, nothing on those lists got implemented.
Doubt they’ll do anything about this. Simple things that make a big QOL difference? No, that’d be too easy 😆
Other than this 1 point, the game has actually been a step in the right direction, and is in general enjoyable. 🖖🏽
I did some research on this topic today and my guess is that the feature was dropped because of too many complaints from people with accents. One benefit of this current surge of AI innovation is that AI is getting good at understanding different accents. So, I'm confident that this feature will return when the Playstation 6 is launched.
