What I really want from F1 25 is more detail and a clear graphical leap — ideally by ditching the current outdated engine and finally moving to something modern like Unreal Engine 5. I’d love to see better tire wear modeling: make it more visual and intuitive. You should be able to see the graining, feel the degradation, and not just rely on numbers or engineer prompts.
Also, in two-player career mode, it would be amazing if I could either start a custom team with my friend or have us in completely separate teams. Sadly, I know this is probably just a dream, because Codemasters has shown time and time again that they just don’t care enough to push the series forward. I really hope the 2026 game ends up in better hands.

Lapped cars to be able to overtake SC.
Color coding during laps in quali and practice to work like in real F1 with purple being best sector of the session and not of the 5 drivers you see in HUD. And with purple 2nd sector indicating best 2nd sector time and not being fastest after 1st+2nd - Ray_F1gaming6 months agoNew Novice
Better Options for streamers.

Too difficult to code as well as to code pit lane limit at Silverstone. 🫡

Jack Doohan to still be playable but it's not looking good, chief!
Quite simply, I'd like a point to the game.
I know people rip on it and the second one's storyline was absolute garbage but I have warmed to the Braking Point mode. It's something slightly different that you can do to mix things up to stop things getting abit samey. However, when nothing you do actually really affects anything, the replay value drops substantially. I'll give it a go but it'll have to be better than last time (the story and characters were awful) or it'll just gather dust on the home screen.
F1 World is... there. I suppose? The only time I really do anything on it is early in the game cycle when a new podium-pass comes out and I need to grind levels to get a livery/helmet as they only give you drivel at the very start to deck your team and driver out in. Once I had something customisable I could work with, then I never touched it for the last 9-10 months or so.
However, I only really intend to play MyTeam so I won't really be focusing too much on customisation, except maybe the car if the new decal editor isn't just a shallow gimmick. Although i'd probably just use the Konnersport one if it looks half-decent as it fits the grid well. If so, then since you don't use your own driver (currently) then I have no reason to grind the levels so I just won't use F1 World.
So, i'd say F3 drivers getting plumped up, or even better, F2 2025 guys being playable in MyTeam. I know you can't use the decent ones from last year as F3 Icons (Lindblad, Dino, Mini, etc) as they're reserved for later this year in the F2 2025 update but it feels backwards that you can't use the ones that would be realistic F1 future generation as they're good enough in real life, so have to use the dribble that weren't good enough to progress from F3 2024.

A functioning game. The devs/ community managers acknowledging bug reports and escalating to the appropriate teams. In f1 24, I reported a few bugs and some of them have been ignored till date.

A game that doesn’t freeze after I complete a race and crash my Series X back to dashboard.
