Wrong ERS Modes

In Formula 1 there are following modes:

In Quali: None, Hotlap and Boost

In Race: None, Medium, Boost. The Overtake is only available if you are in the 1 Sec window and only for the attacking car.  The defending car has only the boost mode to defend if no one is in the 1 sec window ahead. The Boost Mode is everytime available.

Since day one, the ERS Modes are lterally wrong in this game. We are now at Patch 1.24 and nobody from EA/Codemasters is talking about to fix that general issue.

I agree. That’s how it should look in the game in dry conditions. However, in the wet, BOOST mode should be limited to preventing power reduction—without actually increasing power—and the Overtake function should be disabled. So, there should be a "BOOST WET" mode specifically for wet conditions.

The game should also feature separately mappable buttons for "ERS none," "BOOST," and "OVERTAKE." These would function just like the current BOOST/OVERTAKE controls—acting as an on/off toggle that reverts to the previous ERS mode—while the existing ERS +/- adjustment buttons should be retained.
