- @R41D3R0 I've done a few races in grand prix and I had no issues racing the AI on straights. Whatever the issue is its in Myteam or potentially something to do with the Myteam car specifically

My team car suffers high drag compared to real team cars. Even if you start a my team career as a title contender unless you answer the 2 drag related interview questions. You still only start the season with one major drag upgrade and no drs upgrades. Not to mention my team car is also heavier. Being heavier and having higher drag. Means it adversely effect acceleration and top end speed hugely. Reducing drag and weight is key to matching ai speed. Providing that is your acceleration is silky smooth which compared to the ai won’t be and your not loosing power to your rear wheels by braking traction.
you want good acceleration handling and top end speed. Prioritise weight reduction. No point upgrading weight distribution. Until you have a light car.
want high top end speeds then prioritise drag and rear downforce to help traction out off corners.
Read the answers in the interview. No point upgrading engine parts until you’ve reduced drag and weight.
Rule one off making any car faster. Reduce as much weight as possible. All benefits no negatives.
Real F1 teams this year aren’t putting as much paint on their cars. To save just a few grams. That’s how important weight is. Next most important thing is aero package.
Mercedes, And Williams use the same engine with same power output. But Mercedes is massively faster. Why because it has a better chassis and aero package.
Hello mr brick wall 🙄😀
- @Powered_tea The problem is not just with my team, the problem also happens in career mode, I play career mode and this problem happens, if you read all the posts in this topic, you will see that other people also had problems in career mode, please don't pass incorrect information, the problem happens in both my team and career mode, stating once again I have this problem in career mode. after I had this problem in career mode I started my team mode, and magically now in my team mode it is not happening, but when I go back to career mode it keeps happening, like other people have problems in my team mode we see that this happens in both modes.
- @Rgramiscelhi I'm not passing incorrect information, I'm passing the information I have, it's never happened to me in career or grand prix only myteam, which is why i said what I did

Xbox, Grand prix mode Version 1.05. Just look at some of these lap times and how consistent they're. And it doesn't seem to matter what tyre they're on, either. Lap 4 in the sprint is interesting.

I’m not fast compared to the hot lappers but consistency is what win races. If I have no issues or ai slowing me down. I will generally lap awithin 3 tenths off eachother on each specific tyre. Which is what all real F1 drivers: so ai being consistent is perfectly normal. However I do think ai uses rubber banding in last few laps off a race. Cause they all off a sudden start lapping up to a second quicker

But being consistent on old softs and new hards surely should have a bigger difference. And it could be another reason why they're so fast out of slow corners if they have perfect tyres and temps all race long. I have watched a number of AI replays and the last 2 laps they just hammer ERS because they haven't used it much since lap 3 in most races. Which again makes me think why when I do use ERS most laps but never leave myself none, and have slipstream, DRS, fresher softer tyres but couldn't overtake that it's something more than just Straight line speed.
Edit I say 2 laps, it's more the last lap and final sector of the penultimate lap.

Yes it does, same as players. 100% guaranteed. - DRudd133 years agoSeasoned Ace
@DavidG53Cheers. Do you think there should be a bigger gap between Max's softs to hard times? Or Charles' Brazil sprint race on 25% those tyres should be screaming by lap 4 and not be able to bang in 2 faster laps?
- Meza9943 years agoSeasoned Ace@DRudd13 Afaik the wear at 25% races is not 4x 100% races! So obviously the grip loss of softs isnt as bad compared to the time gain from fuel usage... And the wear is even lower than the strategy suggests, for example when it says 8% per lap it is often rather 6-7% wear and only ~4% wear per lap at 100% race distance so only 2x the tyre wear..
Hope this wasnt too many numbers haha it would be chaos if they would use 4x tyre wear at 25% race distance
