Still getting BSOD .
Game loads, menus fine, after driving round 1 lap game crashes, BSOD reader says its a windows hardware error.
reinstalled windows
Memchecked memory (all ok)Chkdsk (all ok)
Reinstalled f1
turned off steam overlay
verified files (all ok)
DDU and reinstalled nvidia drivers. and yes they are up to date.
Tried reducing the gfx to "medium". still crashed, same error codes.
Changed Nvidia to online suggested settings for F1 22. Crashed, same error codes.
Here is the direct copy and paste from Bluescreen Viewer

Many do not understand why the AI is so fast at the moment. Basically tyre temperatures are impossible to controll now (on Pad it seems), even on the lowest tyre pressures, they still rise up to 103 on the hardest compound, which should not happen. That´s where all your new understeer comes from. What we also now is, that AI are not affected by tyre temperatures. This has been known and a thing since forever in CM games, therefore no understeer or massive grip loss during cornering for the AI.
They just need to fix the tyre temps for players and we´re good. Straight line speed is normal, most of you players are just running too much wing, aka bad setups. I still feel little to no vibrations on my Xbox One controller while accelerating/braking. It's downright impossible to be competitive with the faster guys on wheel, let alone an 80 rated AI because of this broken feature. Way to let down our hopes, EA & Codies.

well hes got a point. its a racing game. first of all if the wheel isnt the better device than the game is just poorly balanced.
Still, F1 22 is the FIRST game in the series where a wheel is actually the better device since the feedback on the pad has been reduced to pretty much the same what a wheel player feels: NOTHING.
a wheel doesnt have the beautiful vibration tool. FFB is something completey different and only kicks in after something happens.
still tho, i dont think its right for all pad players to cry this much. basically what they are going thru is what every wheel player went thru for like half a year or so before getting used to reacting only to visuals and not the feeling. - Hempyjr3 years agoSeasoned Ace
I guess only a few people are reading the patch notes, the rest of the people are coming here saying that the problem with AI straight line speed it's still in the game. Why don't you read the patch notes before you complain here? It's clearly that the problem wasn't resolved in this patch! I think people are complaining too much about throttle problems and AI speed. You can't play without TC? Then use TC medium or full. You can't beat the AI on 80 level, play at 70, it's no shame in using assists and lower the AI level! If i start playing on keyboard should i complain to EA why i can't play with TC off, with manual gearbox or on AI level 100? It's ridicoulos. You are basically complaining to EA why they don't make the game easier because you can't play without assists now and you have to reduce the level of AI (even tho it's a know fact that CM raised the level of AI from one year to another to make the game more challenging).

the ratio online is probably something like 5/1 in favor of pad players. In most leagues its like 50/50. also we shouldnt forget that people who play offline dont use equal cars and therefore suffer from the difference perfomance levels. the McLaren for example is absolute awful under traction. but if you hop on online and use equal it is much much better and smoother.

I feel good in this game.
first of all, Engine Sound is so much better than formers. Giving you three audio mixes is a really good thing. Exhaust sounds also good.
Aggressive AI was felt strange at first. But now it's a little more interesting.
In the meantime, when playing Grand Prix mode, all drivers finished. only 1-2 DNF.
And after overtaking ai, it was over. But now they're back and forth. interesting.
It's also fun to watch the battles between AI's from behind. sometimes I can get advantages there like Hamilton at Silverstone.
Better to be aggressive than boring.
Of course they complain about dive bombs and crashes, but real drivers also complain every GP about that.
Having an aggressive option is not good. But it will be good to have each driver's aggression ability.
For example, Bottas rarely do dive bombs, Max does.I think my teammates in career mode are too fast.
They'll soon get a rating of 99 and they're insanely fast. The AI Straight speed is appropriate. We saw in France last week that Max couldn't easily overtake Charles even at higher top speed.
I can finish at least 6-8 if I start last with Hamilton. But If you have similar power with AI you have to prepare a few laps.
To overtake, you have to conserve energy until DRS activates and manage it throughout the race. I don't feel that the current AI straight speed is unrealistic.
I don't need F1 life. I don't need a sofa and a light. This is EAism. STOP INVENTING
Instead of that bring back the classic cars and the circuits. Of course I don't need them either, but you don't need to get rid of what you made already. It's a part of F1 unlike sofa.
This game had a lot of bugs in the month after release. It was bad that it was released unfinished.
However, it is a good thing that they listened to the opinions of users and made improvements.

So you don't understand that pads and wheels are different? You also think wheels don't give you information before something happens, and only *after*? Are you playing on one of those Wii-mote things with the "Wheel" adapter? My T500RS sure as hell gives me feedback before things have gone completely sideways, as literally any minimally competent sim racer would tell you. If they didn't, then you'd never "Catch" a spin, or "Feel" the tires start to lose grip.Should a wheel be better? Absolutely. So you can take that silly strawman argument back. I'm saying that wheels should not be the ONLY priority, which given that it's been a month since the game released and we're STILL missing the most basic feature on gamepads is obviously annoying. It is not "Crying" to expect an advertised, pre-existing function to be present and, well, functional. That's called wanting the bare minimum. The vibration function on controllers is as important to pad users, if not more so, than FFB is to wheel users. The vibration function replaces the rotation and torque in a wheel. It's not rocket science, and should be a simple enough concept that a child can grasp it. It isn't an "Advantage" at all. It's literally the exact same idea, but with a different delivery system.
As to what wheel users went though in the past, you're right, that absolutely sucks, and it's about time they pulled their socks up. What I don't agree with is that pad users, who absolutely are the vast majority, somehow deserve, or should not complain about, being in the same position now. Unless you're saying that wheel users should have just shut up all that time, and never "Cried" about it.
Also, EA, can we have a block function on these forums. It's 2022, not 1992, and I'd like to be able to filter certain kinds of people out of my feed, thank you.

This may be contrary to most of the posts in here, but I like this patch. I'm having fun with the game.
Dropped my AI again (LOL thanks Codies for making AI harder when I can't change it for a race I'm in the middle of, just playing), and I'm having tons of fun.
I'm way more comfortable with controller handling now. I will get along with trying to find better tire pressures in game so that I won't be driving on ice.
There are still a few things I'm hoping the next patch can fix. I would like them to work on the AI straight line speed on MyTeam mode - if the latest AI change (making them faster in 1.06) means that the next patch will have this addressed I'm happy. I'm not egotistical enough to care that my AI level is on 90 or 80, it's just a number and I want to find the one that makes it fun for me.
I would also like them to address the trigger rumble ASAP on PC, because losing that means that some feeling is lost, and I loved that feeling in the previous games.
Those are my two most wanted fixes, hopefully CM can come through.
