Force feedback slow to engage after a flash back

Product: F1 22
Platform:PC
Summarize your bug G920 Wheel: Force feedback takes a few seconds to engage when starting over from a flash back. Overall, the force feedback is much weaker than F1 2021 with the same settings. The center of the wheel feels like there almost no resistance at all. This is in solo mode. Miami Short race.
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Driver Career
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start a race. Select flash back Renter race mid flash back.
What happens when the bug occurs? Force feedback on the wheel feels like it takes a few seconds to come back to the wheel. Steering feels extremely light and floaty during that moment.
What do you expect to see? Force feedback to be engage from the start of a flash back just like in 2021.

  • @EA_Atic - I - along with SEVERAL others - am having this same issue.

I've power cycled the PS4. I've rebuilt my database. I've deleted & re-installed the program. I've followed all the "directions" previously provided by the various EA mods who monitor this forum.

    They don't work.

This ISN'T a system problem. It's a game problem. If it were a system problem, I'd be having issues with other games, which I'm not.

When is EA going to acknowledge that there's an issue and actually fix the problem?
  • Hello, Thank you for the advice you provided in your post. @EA_Atic

But unfortunately they don't work, and the Sony representative office reports that this problem is exclusively on the part of the developers of the game from which the software conflicts with the console software.
In the past, I've been involved in fixing the NFS No limits game, for which I received precious experience, as well as support from the developers.

I want to add a couple more remarks that you should correct.

-A bug due to which the overall sound of the game begins to distort, especially often this happens in multiplayer game mode.
Most likely this is due to the drop in FPS.

-Sponsor stickers on my team's cars are not displayed correctly or not at all.

-Pilots change their skin color to black during the awards ceremony .

Please take this problem into account.

  • Using Series X with Fanatec CSL DD.

When returning to racing after using a flashback, all feedback stops, and gradually returns over about 5 seconds.

Also, when will they stop the horrific jolt you get when the 5 lights go out at the start of quali/TT flying laps

Can confirm it - on PS5 and G29 I have the same problem after flashback, but it takes around 1 sec until force feedback is back.

  • Has there been a solution for this yet? I’m still getting this issues and it’s super frustrating because the steering goes completely light and then you end up over turning the wheel, then you need to use a flashback again and round and round we go it feels like

  • @Hansenhaus I had this issue as well. After restarting a time trial lap the force feedback is removed. Then only after 3-4 seconds it comes back.
  • Same here on Xbox series X. Force feedback takes a few seconds to engage after a flashback during a race in any mode. In time trial, the ffb takes even longer to engage and, when it does, there’s a very strong jolt that more often than not causes you to lose the car. Please look into it.

  • Does anyone know if this was ever resolved or figured out individually how to remedy the problem.

i started having this ffb delay constantly now.

one example: running a qualifying lap in career mode...when the lights go out and car should be under my control, there is a delay...sometimes enough to allow the AI car to pass me by. it feels like a weak, NO FFB sensation with very little control.

it used to actually give a bit of a * to the wheel letting me know it was go time.

Would like to know how to clear this up.

    thanks

  • I guess this is how it's supposed to be people... imagine you pause the game and turn the wheel by accident and not knowing you did this. When returning to play the wheel would be in a different angle and the force feedback would instantly try to correct that. This is not an issue on these belt/gear wheels but could hurt one in a direct drive wheel.

It takes 1ish second to get back and I believe it's for safety.

    Cheers,

    Dan.

I thought it was by design. It's kinda useful as I'm not always 100% sure what forces will engage right after flashback returns. Imagine to flashback to a moment, when there was some force-feedback from chicane. Some wheels may rip your hands out then 😉
