Fresh tyres for start of the race

Question

I still can't figure out why I have to use used soft tyres in a race, I had a set unused from qualifying but for the race a used set is the only set of soft tyres I have available. I run full qualifying and 25% race distance. The only fresh tryes reserved for the race is always the medium and hard compound tyres.&nbsp;

@SSA-1988 Was the unused set the set thats reserved for Q3? This specific set is only usable in Q3 and not in the race. So in that case rather use that soft (the furthest to the right) and safe a different soft for the race.

@SSA-1988Same, couldn't figure it out either. I feel like I've even saved two sets before and I still only get used tyres.Edit: you don't get to keep the Q3 softs for the race, only Q1 and Q2 sets.

Yes it was, thank you for the tip I will use that in the next race. Annoyingly I didn't read your reply until after I finished qualifying at Australia
