@i2MatthewThis has been a issue on pc and has been fixed. Apparently didn’t effect consoles: and I’m not saying your wrong. But occasionally I try 60fps and I miss all my marks and crash as I can’t get used to the lower frame rates.
I have found when using 120fps that turning off tv display settings as graduation, peak luminance local dimming noticeably improves on track gameplay. Also ps5 settings hdr adjust hdtv guy suggests first to settings 15 clicks up last setting lowest setting
Sony did eventually admit that using 120fps with some tvs caused increased latency. Not because said TV’s caused the problem. Just different manufacturers use different display software. Which they said was fixed. But they said rest mode bug was also fixed but the issue still exists
@i2Matthew wrote:On France form example hitting the inside of the kerbs at 120 FPS on my PS5 would make the car unstable but on the same PS5 version if i in PlayStation video settings turn off 120 FPS mode then the kerbs i couldn't go over at 120 i can easily go over them with no trouble
Are you absolutely certain you're driving consistently enough to tell the difference after having to take the time to switch modes? I remember when I tried to look at the same at Monza I didn't find this easy, but odds are of course you're a far better and more consistent driver than me. Maybe you could post some video clips to try to prove your point?
I never saw any official info. from Codemasters on whether the game software meant this fps issue, which definitely present on PC, affected consoles or not. The patch to resolve it only mentioned PC which gave the impression that only a PC issue was addressed but sadly that doesn't mean for certain that something similar but less pronounced didn't exist on consoles.
(For what it's worth I play at 120 Hz on PS5 but I'm just getting on with this rather than spending time looking for differences now.)

Hi @i2Matthew ,
I would suggest you to open a topic in the bug section, as the others said it has been fixed on PC but we are not sure if it has been investigated in console as well, perhaps @EA_Kent may help us to better understand.
Greetings,
Nuv
- mantazzoLTU3 years agoRising Scout@ScarDuck14 I don't think it was fully fixed... Was recently doing Australia. In Time Trial, I uncapped my framerate and I was all over the place, everything felt slippery and I kind of understood why a lot of people could say they have traction issues... However, after capping my framerate to 61 (yes, specifically 61, as 60 had potentially slightly lower effect) everything felt VERY grippy, I could ride kerbs much more and I was a lot more confident.
I am not sure what is going on with the physics for this game, but it could be a case where running lower framerate can still give you an advantage in a way... Even though this was supposedly "fixed". - Nuvolarix3 years agoSeasoned Ace
What do eSports guys say about it?
In any case, a console check would be useful IMHO, if not already done by the devs
- Wollcott3 years agoNew Ace@i2Matthew there is absolutely no doubt this is also a console issue and i have no idea why codemasters is denying it. It has been tested so many times by players now and its obvious as hell that 120 fps affects the car differently.
