Hi guys,I don't know if this one is just me, but there is an insane problem with the Practice sessions in Miami.I'm playing on Expert Difficulty (80) with a custom setup in an Alfa Romeo, and Qualifying Pace is already impossible to do, I'm almost a second behind the green target, and overall, I feel like the AI is heavily OP on this track. I was genuinely struggling with basically every program in Practice, so I think that this will be a viable track to run Quick Practice on.Especially on the straight lines I seem to lose a huge amount of time, but here comes the kicker of all of this: My Qualifying Pace laptime is good enough for P20 in Qualifying, but on paper, I was 3 tenths ahead of Perez in the Red Bull, and I'm leading FP1 right now.Does anyone else have these problems in Miami's Practice? If yes, please let me know.

Personally I’m finding this game is by far the worst balanced game I’ve played…. However this may also be by design. I’m waiting to see what happens when more patches come. But previous year’s experience has always made the game even more unbalanced with every new patch so who knows

@ScarDuck14 Its always by design, OP AI is by design to challenge the player, excessive wear is by design to make the player manage their engines etc. 😉

@BinkyStrider Your talking about F1 championship edition. IMHO still the best f1 game. Not only did you have to prove yourself before being hired. If you didn’t perform you found yourself being relegated to third driver. Not to mention the rain effects are still better than what we currently have. Then every track during practice you had proper help form your race engineer in setting up the car taking into account the track and your driving style. Plus never felt as though the game was using scripts and rubberbanding to beat you.

Miami is also a new track so takes some time to learn it, and be as fast as in other tracks we have played for years.

However the same time you did in that practice program come actual qualifying puts you in the top ten. Hence out off balance.

Just had my first MyTeam race in season 1 in Miami. Did quite a few time trial laps beforehand to learn the track and find a setup that works for my driving style. Playing on 90 on wheel without any assissts. Hardly matched my team mate Piastri in Qualifying, unlike the "used to" circuits, where he was a second behind me.

There is so much time to find at that track, even when I thought I had a good lap, I went several tenths quicker after even more laps. It really needs a lot of confidence to go through the corners like Jeddah sector 1 and the traction zones of Miami sector 3 remind me of Sotchi sector 3, there is a ton of time to be found.

Just go for 30-50 laps around time trial and you'll notice improvements in MyTeam.

Yup, exactly this. It's a known problem.
Practice objectives don't match the AI level, so there will be times you are failing the objectives, but when it gets to the race or quali, you do better than the objectives were looking for.

It happened to me yesterday in Bahrain, difficulty 90. Even though I was 0.1 to 0.2 ahead of Albon, in the race training I was three tenths from the green.

My solution is to either do the quick practice, or set the AI 10 lower as it's clearly way too difficult.
Yet another workaround, yes, but I can continue with my life after that.
Still don't understand why data can't be gathered from just doing normal race runs or whatever type of run - just let me do a full tank race stint and take data from there. But clearly something this "advanced" will never happen.

@Ho3n3r You can do that on your own if you want haha but no the reason why they have these different programs is to have it not as horribly boring for many players yet they already complain about it always being the same.. Now imagine if there was only one program "full race sim" :D

The programs need a rethink, significantly higher fuel and the laptime targets way lower, dunno who decides the goals for the programs each year but they keep missing it completely, rather have it too easy than too hard, people will lower it anyway if they want to get 100% resource points so there is no sense trying to find "really challenging balance"

@Meza994 im one off those that lower it. Well at least I am as a newcomer in my team. Just so I can get a few decent upgrades. So I lower it to 60. That way I can also pass the every program first try thus also saving wear. Then for race bump it up to 90
But ai at Bahrain this year are really quick compared to last year. But at Saudi and Australia and Imola although the ai have all increased performance compared to me as my parts keep failing. They arnt as quick
