exact same thing for me

I found it after I used flashbacks and used the outside line. It always happend in the corner after the back straight. It seemed to do the exact same thing and freezed up. I could only see the freezed cockpit and the engine roaring on repeat and that was that. In the end I skipped practise two and went on to qualify. Didn’t happen again.

If available, download and install a System Software update.

Also, try booting in Safe Mode and choose Option 5, Rebuild Database:

This doesn't work, I reinstalled the game, restore de PS4 as a brand new with the system updated and the problem is the same.

This is clearly a BUG IN THE GAME, for PS4 platform.

It has nothing to do with the PS system, or cache, or databases...

Many people have experienced this in our league, making it impossible to compete.

So EA need to FIX this, IMMEDIATLY!

How can they release the game without proper testing? So frustrating...

EA das Problem liegt an euch, also behebt es auch. Man hat nicht für ein Game 90 Euro bezahlt, damit es ständig einfriert. 

Wenn bei einem 100% Rennen kurz vorm Ende, dass spiel einfriert, dann macht's echt keinen Spaß mehr.

Bitte schnellstmöglich beheben!!!!!!! 

Just had our first community practice race with 15 people, 4 on ps4 the rest on ps5, everyone on ps4 had the same problem.

Yesterday I also had t on multiple occasions, I have rebuild my database but this hasn't helped

same problem in online lobby. Unplayable must be resolved absolutely.

Same problem here. The screen kept freezing while the engine sound can still be heard. Could not even complete the first race in Bahrain. 

The developers NEED to look into it and get it fixed ASAP!!!!

@EA_Barry - This isn’t a fix.  It doesn’t work.  My system is fully up to date.  None of the other games I own are giving me this issue.  Acknowledge & admit that the game has issues and get them fixed.

I was playing career mode using my own team. It also was freezing, and you can still hear the engine running. Is it a glitch or what??

Any updates? It is absolutely unplayable.

Please escalate this issue and release a patch asap!

Also getting game freezes on the PS4 (original), I saw it is an issue on the Pro too. 

just a question to all. I'm having the same problem but i now see dat i cant acces the patch also. Game say is up to date but gives 1.02 will 1.04 is also out.

Worst game in de history off codemasters.

I’ve reset my console’s settings a couple times because of this bug and it’s still persisting. I haven’t been able to complete a race in career mode because of it. Occasionally the bug will also make me reset my PS4’s HDR settings if I close the software.

And to note, I have not gotten an error code with it yet. It freezes and stays like that forever. Closing the software causes my PS4 to force restart itself every time. So if it occurs, I’ve started manually restarting my PS4 to save myself the hassle of potentially having to reset my HDR settings as well.

THIS. IS. A. BUG. IN. THE. GAME. NOT. MY. CONSOLE. Not a single other game in my library crashes so hard that it crashes my entire console when I close the software.

wait... are we supposed to be on version 1.04, if so mine is also still 1.02.

where are the patch notes if we are on 1.04...?
