My prediction is that it will be released in 2023 🙂.

And if - in any crazy conjecture - EA/CM say to us that they will skip this year release to deliver a helluva game in '24. Would you guys take it nicely?
I'm divided to be honest but I think I would give them a try.
- Cpayne323 years agoHero+@Ultrasonic_77 Thats pushing it a bit 😂😂
- Cpayne323 years agoHero+@dancrodrigues Honestly i wouldn’t mind that. Only issue is it has to be perfect

Well we know this isn't happening, and to be honest I've posted before that there's basically zero chance of this happening IMHO. There's a certain guaranteed revenue from each new game that would just be thrown away if they did, and I just can't see how a game dev could confidently promise senior management that there would be a net financial benefit long term.
Also, with a game as unpopular as F1 22 I can't help but feel the dominant reaction if we were told we'd be sticking with it for another year would not be great!

I can understand that but, on the other hand, the game as of today isn't so bad. I mean, not great definitely, but not so bad - at least its offline sections. I still would take it...
But your post made think of the online dudes, they're suffering big time.
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@dancrodrigues This is one if not the only game that still focuses on single player games despite also having a large multiplayer community.
Codies have the numbers. They obviously show most who buy this game play single player. - mariohomoh3 years agoHero (Retired)@ScarDuck14 And yet we're still dealing with the same balance issues and the same overall gameplay loop for what, three games in a row?
Looking forward to play My Team past season 3 with a car that still handles realistically 🙏 - ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@mariohomoh Should that happen it will feel unrealistic as my muscle memory is now hard wired
- Meza9943 years agoSeasoned Ace@dancrodrigues It could be worse true but for some of us the game just NEEDS improvements in certain regards, be it the entire tyre temps/pressure/compound complexity for me, an actually realistic suspension setup with depth for Mario or just another deep dive up the rear from Bottas for our favourite duck😜..
As Mario pointed out its the exact same for 3 years now and actually in the least pleasant way of all.. I rather find myself playing F1 2021 or F1 2018 with more realistic dirty air (fully realistic is sadly not possible/working with the AI😩) and little more accurate car performances.. They just have a more pleasant and rewarding handling model while still having almost the same features😅 - ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Meza994 See this year it’s been Perez but he doesn’t ram my rear as violently as Bottas used to
- Meza9943 years agoSeasoned Ace@ScarDuck14 I know but you are missing Bottas bumping skills, dont lie to me😂
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Meza994 I have fond memories. No one does me like bottas does😂

(because releasing it yearly isn't working wonders...)
- Meza9943 years agoSeasoned Ace@dancrodrigues The problem is having to sit through another whole year with the current "bad" game.. Having esports on that game that even Opmeer really dislikes.. If that "latest" game we were stuck with had less problems it would be fine for me but as is im not sure what id prefer..
But tbf F1 22 does things better than the previous games although thats mainly AI intelligence (not trying as often to defend in a corner that would that be used for overtaking, compromising their line way too much) a little better setup work (0-50 aero; tyre pressure changeable for race).. - ScarDuck143 years agoLegend
TBH New game can’t get here soon enough. I rather spend time posting on here than play the current game. As you all know I’m a happy chatter. I’ve got to know many of the EA guys. They are actually all very good guys and passionate about gaming. There is a genuine desire and effort to improve how they deal with bugs and issues going forward.
Suggestion threads are only good for us to bounce ideas off eachother and maybe an occasional dev will read through them for some inspiration and maybe pick one or to for ideas for future titles. On Codies forums you could see who was currently on the forums and which threads they were looking at. Multiple times I saw devs looking at suggestion threads. But not once did they ever post on them… no matter how hard you try and get their attention. As it’s not something that needs immediate attention.
like I’ve said in other threads. Communication when it comes to issues and bugs needs to be better so they are fixed faster and not going on for months as some major issues still are.. I believe this will get better in next years game
Whether the gameplay sucks or not 🤷🏻♂️

I’d be keen for them to sacrifice a game this year (or next year or whenever) to long-term, have a fully-functioning, extremely popular and enjoyable game. It’s something that I think I brought up before, but a lot of people (and fair enough) don’t really like the idea, because they want to have the new game ASAP.

Well, that’s why I made the F1 Game Community Suggestions Hub. For that exact purpose. It’s going well so far too btw!
It would be so good to see which EA/CM person was online on the forum, and which forum thread they were looking at. Even if they don’t reply (which don’t get me wrong, would still be amazing), it’s still great to see what they’re looking at. Is this something you could discuss with your EA overlords/whatever they’re called?
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend
@Radoko34Wouldn’t be something I would. It’s not my place. It would add little use for a lot work. I only ever noticed cause I’m ever present. I very much doubt anyone else found it useful. If it was they would have already added it.
Ok. Thanks.
I would certainly find it useful.
Or, even if they just had a little sticker/badge go next to a thread that symbolises if the thread has been viewed (at any time) by an EA staff.Anyways, just a side thought I guess.

I don't think they need to sacrifice a year and i don't believe that's the solution. What they should do, is to hire more devs helping the current teams (if i understand correctly, they have 2 teams working on F1) resolving the current bugs and then focus on new features, handling, etc. All they have to do is to hire more devs and lose some money (their salary), which on long terms, i think it will bring them more money because a better and complet game + features the community ask for can only lead to higher sales.
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Hempyjr As the saying goes… Always look after your customer. If you don’t someone else will
- Hempyjr3 years agoSeasoned Ace@ScarDuck14 Yeah, that's right but in this case we are pretty much stuck as long as only EA has the license for F1. No one can steal F1 players with fictional liverys and teams no matter how good is their game in terms of handling and features! If another studio gets the F1 license we will definetly have at least one year break from F1 game, i don't think they can develop a new game from 0 in just 10-12 months. For now we can only hope EA will invest more in this franchise and provide a more completed game.
Are they allowed to give the rights to make the licensed F1 game to two different game companies at the same time?
This would be so good, because both companies would challenge each other to make a better and better game, almost like a race to make the best F1 game possible. And, from FOM’s perspective, they could make more money selling the right to two different companies (sure with two companies having the rights they would be worth less, but they’d definitely still be expensive).
Besides, it’s not as though EA (at the end of their current deal until the end of 2025) could go ‘No, we don’t want to let you sell the rights to another company as well.’ Because it’s FOM in charge, not EA.
- Hempyjr3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Radoko34 Everything is possible in my opinion, FIFA had a rival for years and they were both forced to bring new features and a better gameplay. In terms on features and gameplay it would be a good thing, but after all how many players with spend 100-150 euro on two F1 games year after year?
