Every race AI's final lap feels too fast.I find they had deployed ERS overtake mode almost every acceleration time even Miami Turn 11-12 and 12-13.They seem to pour out all their remaining energy. Even in situations where it is difficult to expect a rise their position.It's unrealistic, record a fastest lap at final lap with worn tyres.I believe their ERS management should be modified.And need to fix easy to use even in tricky section.I attached pictures of their race director.

Even Legend of legends Jarno opmeer commented in his my team career that the ai must have unlimited ers in the last few laps. So I’m not paranoid Could a mod please please please pass this on

Just finished Jeddah. Last lap two cars behind me and only the two cars behind at the start off the last lap were 2-2.5 seconds behind. They both went over 2 seconds faster than their previous 3 laps. Max who had pitted much earlier than the rest off the grid for a new wing was on much older tyres and his lap times were reflecting it as they were dropping off. But if I hadn’t put him in the wall he would a been 3 seconds faster. If the ai cheat then I’m going to cheat which obviously destroys any sense off fun or accomplishment as I had started in 8th and got up to 3rd. And this is the issue after 40 minutes just on the race that’s without a dozen practice laps and almost as may qualifying laps. So all in all nearly two hours. Only to have the ai chase you down like this added to their increased aggression. Replaces exciting racing with racing dread.@EA_rephii buddy pal amigo: pleeeeease pass this along. I assume they are still working on adjusting the ai so this will help

If it was just a case off draining batteries it be fine. But the issue is it isn’t. It’s a form off rubber banding. Which means your not racing the ai in the last few laps. Your pretty much racing code that has been added so casual gamers especially feel abit off last lap excitement/pressure. It’s the same with how the rain comes and goes. Never feels organic because it isn’t it’s designed to add jeopardy at crucial moments in the race

The ers-saving AI excuse proves that this isn't realistic.AI doesn't need ers to attack? nor to defend themselves? in this logic not seen that all the AI save the ers, but you also forget that in the last lap the tires are dead so the AI is supposed to be slower than its fastest lap, so the ers will just help to be a little faster in a straight line, the tires being dead, there is less grip but in the bends the tires prevent them from rolling very/too fast so the ers do not change anything.I persist that the AI has a * god mode in the last lap and also in the pit lane exit laps does not have as much problem with cold tires.EA is their legendary script we still hit.

@Man0maN13000 Jarno opmeer calls it unlimited ers his co op teammate calls it ai hulk mode or something.. I call it ai excite mode but whatever we call it.. it’s definitely a thing that needs to stop.

Agreed. I’ve just started to follow suit. I make sure i have saved enough battey so i can deploy full charge over the final two laps.
my theory/paranoia is that the AI still turn the engine into rich mix for the final two laps like they did in previous versions of the game. CM probably forgot to remove that copy and paste from the code 😂

I didn't analyze it anymore, I have the impression that this already happened in F1 2021. I remember that Red Bull or Mercedes always did the best lap of the race on the last lap, when I was in small teams.

I use to play with ERS assist on, yesterday the last lap I did was the race fastest lap overall and all my ERS was drained in this last lap. So I think it's coded this way.
And I see no problem with that, what would be the point of finishing the race with the batteries loaded?

Hmm... just like what you said in other post? If so, yes makes sense.
BTW I always felt that when weather is changing the first 2-3 laps are incredibly difficult to follow the AI's pace, so yeah, makes sense to me.

@ScarDuck14 True its not very realistic. Ideally it should be reworked, but that can be said about much of the game..

I’ve just learned to adapt and save as much as possible for the final 2 laps.

@homesvslupinThis is definitely part of the game and has been since at least F1 2020.

I don't *hate* it because once you know it's coming you can try and save some battery to counter that last 1-2 laps push by the AI.

What I don't like is how predictable it is. It's EVERY race. It would be nice to *simulate* an AI behind you who already pushed as hard as they could and have already dumped all their battery and chewed their tires, leaving you to finish the darn race in peace every now and again, lol.

@KVNR01 This probably my main gripe I don’t mind being beaten to the line out off the last corner. But it needs to feel organic. But as you say because it’s every race you know it’s not.
