Greetings.I tried to find a similar thread, but I didn't, so I created this one to check something with you guys. Tyre allocation is fixed in f1 22 as it was for 2021, but, nowadays for a short qualy session and 50% races we are fitted with one medium tyre, one hard tyre and 4 red tyres. I remember that it is not uncommon to use double set of yellows and one red for some tracks, even in irl racing we can see more than one set of medium tyres being used on the track, so my question is:Why can't we allocate some medium or hard tyres for race usage and have to contend to such an imbalance tyre strategy? is this how it really is in real f1? In F1 2021 we had two set of medium tyres to use and it opened much more race possibilities.I might be seeing this the wrong way but I do feel having only one set of medium and hard tyres could be problematic should we face race incidents or other problems during a session.

@Hichel18 This has kinda been covered the past weeks a lot..A) There is no "tyre allocation" IRLB) All teams get the exact same amounts of tyre for each compound (8s, 3m, 2h)C) from what i remember they have to use 1m in P2 and return it there and 1s for Q3 and can only use it there.Yes its a problem but the easiest solution remains letting us choose completely free what tires we want to use in practice. "Fake" using tyre allocation to shift tyres around would be a more complicated fix i think, but it definitely NEEDS to change!

It's just a * game developed by incompetent people.They do not even deign to respond to the problems that the community exposes. It is not possible for a game to be released with an official license and not even the basic rules are respected. I spent some money on this *.I opened a post for a bug on the "new" F2 22 (where qualifying is buggy) and they didn't even bother to answer me. That is, they have added a mode that cannot be used and they don't even fix it! There are no words for this crap.Where are the developers? why don't they make themselves heard?

@Meza994 Thanks for the clarification! I'm kinda new to EA Forums and I'm indeed quite lost on it.

Indeed it needs to change! As it is, indeed it's quite static in terms of strategy and can really hinder if we have problems during the race.

If we take out the Soft from Q3, the Medium from Practise and the race mandatories, one solution could be to let us pick which set we want to use for each session of the event. Could be waaay too complicated for our current system, But I do think we have ways to make it better. Hopefully they will be able to improve on the system.

@Hichel18 In theory yes but as a fix for f1 22 it would be too complicated i guess.. But we have to wait and hope..

And yeah many people get lost here especially with new topics up every hour from post release so dont worry buddy

@Meza994 didn't notice before it gives the player a result damn worse than F1 2021 😞
In the past I could survive without 2 sets of (H) during a (100%) race, but now it's also impossible 2 sets of (M) !!!

@IcmanMUC I can tell you its 100% intended by Codemasters as this system of no free tyre choice has always been in the games..

In 2021 you had all three tires for race at least and could switch from yellow to red for example. That wasn’t an issue before. And you could change your starting tire if you were behind p10 in qualifying according to the rules in 2021.

@IcmanMUC You can still do all that in F1 22.. switching your starting tyre is just a bit more difficult as you only have 1 set of each M and H and when these are already in your strategy it will obviously not allow you to change your starting tyre

Side note. not sure if you can help.
The 22 regs state you have free choice of tyre to start in the race.
Now as I’m just having fun the MY TEAM mode.
on race days the allocation is sometimes medium and hards, Yet other teams are starting the race on softs. I have on occasion but there is no choice for myself or at least I’ve not found it.
