@Dansmotorsport wrote:Do we think we could get a response as to weather this will be in the new game please as I run a league and we have a work around to get cars unlapped in our league races but as the rules have changed irl which now state all lapped cars must unlap themselves I’d like to see this implemented in the new game and would be a welcome addition to nearly every league going I’m sure.
No its not in the game. I’ve seem one of ben daley’s videos, he was a lap down under safety car & the game didn’t let him unlap 🤷🏼♂️
- @Ultrasonic_77 There is. If the safety car in the track just after the leader lap you and you're the only one who is lapped, you can retire because after restart, the 18 other cars will lap you and you will have one lap between you and the car ahead instead of few seconds before the SC.

Is what you're describing something you've seen in pre-launch F1 22 footage that is new? Do you have a link you could share if it is? I don't really follow what you're trying to describe to be honest.

I think he is trying to say that when the safety car is coming to an end, if you are behind the leader, but a lap down, you will get blue flags for the whole field to overtake you.
therefore you might aswell retire becasue your race is f…….

Ah yes, could be.
I hadn't thought of this aspect before. I was thinking that ghosting of lapped cars meant there was little point adding unlapping to the game. This is true for cars on the lead lap but not for those who have been lapped, who lose out on what would be the real-life opportunity to catch up.
- @Ultrasonic_77 I answer to your message when you said lapped cars isn't a problem since there are ghosted.
ajobling1983 perfectly complemented my message.
It's very common if you have damage after a terrible start and have to go to pit at the end of the first lap. During a 5 laps race, you don't care because the race is already f... up with the bad start... but during a 50% or 100% length race when you play online in private with friends, it's very frustrating since you don't want to leave already... Then, since 2 years, there is no possibility to restart the last session instead of the full event anymore and there is no reason why Codemasters remove this feature from private league except promote their open broken ranked online multiplayer mode... - Dansmotorsport4 years agoRising Vanguard
@ajobling1983Yes that a pre release build. So things can change.
Plus with the fact the ruling has now changed that all lapped cars must be unlapped before racing resumes, this should be shown on the game to follow the rules like they have done before. - Meza9944 years agoSeasoned Ace@Dansmotorsport While i agree that it should be in the game i dont see the necessaty based on last year.. It was always handled as "all cars need to be unlapped" aside of Abu Dhabi and there are plenty of rules not implemented properly or factually wron in the game soo meh.. It should be in but a lot of things need to be adressed

@Meza994That’s where your wrong pal. The rules stated it was down to the race directors discression as to weather lapped cars will be allowed to unlap themselves or not. This is the reason why codemasters took it out the game. With the ruling changed and now stating that all Lapped cars must be unlapped before racing resumes there is no excuse to bring this back into the game like it was before.
All I’m asking is for someone in the team to confirm/deny if this is going to be in the game.As I’m sure 90% of the people that race in leagues want this back in the game
- Meza9944 years agoSeasoned Ace@Dansmotorsport Not only league racers would like it generally it would improve immersion but its not as easy as you claim with the rules..
Its not always all cars and i cant find a line in the sporting regulations that says the race director is forced to let all cars unlap themselfes if there is a safety car. It says that IF he lets cars unlap it must be all lapped cars that unlap. But in no way i found the statement that lapped cars must always unlap themselfes..
Obviously it would be very nice to know if it will be in the game but id doubt it, none the less confirmation by Codemasters would be a good thing!
Last thing, in which F1 game was unlapping a genuine thing? Like working in career mode etc. too? Just curious because i cant remember if it ever was but i havent played all games so can likely be wrong!
