unlimited ERS in career mode

I'm playing second season of driver's career mode.

Now I can deploy almost unlimited ERS in race.

Perhaps something in development made this.

but this break the race. I will race win even if I have a low position in qualifying.

It may change to lower effect or I hope to make 'no development' career mode.

  • @homesvslupin Was the same last year. At least in my team career. Once you’ve upgraded ers parts you pretty get it all the time.. Just another example off upgrades not being properly thought out
  • @homesvslupin It was like that in F1 2020 as well. With fully upgraded ERS, you can recharge your energy really quick, which means you'll most likely never run out.

Back in the day though, you were limited to a certain amount of energy per lap, therefore, you could never consume much energy. This year, you can deploy way more energy per lap, which gives teams with a heavily upgraded ERS a good advantage. Just make sure to swap out your MGU-K and Energy Store when they reach 70% wear.

@LuckyNico92 The MGU-K limits for both harvesting and deployment are strictly the same as ever and reflect the regulations. No changes in there.

The MGU-H has a different functioning and no cap. If the ERS upgrades are creating an imbalance there, that's a legit issue, but it has nothing to do with the MGU-K.

Even if your MGU-K gets more efficient at harvesting, at it sure should, it will simply stop charging the battery once it hits the 2MJ per lap cap. Simply as that 🙃

@Meza994 Really? It honestly feels like I can deploy far more energy than previously.

Thing is, in F1 2020, when my ERS was fully upgraded, I usually reached the deploy limit on every lap while I always had a lot of battery charge left.

And when I played F1 22 for the first time, I was able to deploy far more energy than before, but I never had enough to constantly use Overtake Mode to reach the deploy limit.

About the harvesting limit, I never reached that, neither in F1 2020 nor in F1 22.

I mean, I don't know what kind of ERS the real life F1 uses, but the ERS in F1 games is far easier to use.

@LuckyNico92 Probably because the normal ERS deployment when you dont use overtake is only half of what it was in previous years.. Battery size changed though throughout the years as they tried to get closer to what it is IRL..

Regarding real life its actually not difficult for the drivers, they only use overtake mode or change the SoC but not often.. The team however has far more to do regarding ERS..
