Just caught up through the last 5 pages or so. Amazing result against Bayern, one of those games fans will always remember where they were when they watched.
I really like the transfer business. Selling the hot player at his peak price and bringing in upcoming talent. Troy Parrott is a good fit and can hopefully bring more goals.
I do worry they Rutter will not be there much longer. If he finishes the season strong, a big club will be coming.

Thanks mate! Yeah Rutter could easily leave in the summer too. I have received a few offers for him already, but none of them would be considered as a step up, so I declined them. But I'm definitely going to sell, if AC Milan or similar clubs come asking, as they did with Adams. IF they provide a reasonale fee, of course.
Bayern result was great, yeah. It felt like a steal to take the win, but I suppose it was a realistic way to beat a giant, as I suffered from a heavy pressure during that game.

Interesting result against Hearts. Did you play a reserve defence?
Good start against Bayern; let's see what happens in Germany.
The premiership continues with serene progress to the title, it seems.

I may have rested one of my preferred central defenders, Leon King or Toti Gomes (don't remember which of them), but the backup, academy graduate Arthur Brown, plays just as frequently as the other two, so I don't think I can use it as an explanation. It was just one of those games, I think. Or else it was a mental thing with me having my mind set on Bayern already.

2-1 against Bayern must be the highlight in European games thusfar in 4 (??) seasons (lost count)
- thurlow8852 years agoSeasoned AceI missed the part where you had Rutter in your team. He has been phenomenal for us this season, i get it's The Championship, but he's enjoying himself on the field which sparks good form and if we get promoted I think he'll show his class in Prem this time around. I also know Rutter is good to use from playing Seasons this year and a special card he has in FUT. I've already hit my Leeds United players quota for my career I think so maybe a future one 🤣

Yes, certainly a highlight there. I had some good runs in the Europa League, beating Spurs and Benfica on aggregate to get into consecutive semi finals. So I would probably still rate these games as THE highlights so far, but obviously this one will beat it, if it's won on aggregate.

You usually provide this kind of feedback, when I have someone from Leeds signed in my careers.
Good to know he's doing better now. IRL, where does he currently play? Centrally or wide? He played on the right wing, the last time I saw him, and I'm playing him as a secondary striker (a LF in my formation).

This is one area where Daniel Farke is frustrating me and some others, without diving too far off target he's been playing as a No9 and then Piroe as a No10 a guy who scored 20 odd goals in Championship last season. Rutter is not a No9 however since he's been letting Bamford play or when Bamford comes on Rutter drops back to No10. We would have all liked to have been Rutter at No10 and Piroe at No9 especially while Bamford was injured/not favoured

Makes sense. I suppose I wasn't wrong about him then. I did sign him to replace a departing number 9, but I've only played him rarely in that position. He's been so much better from the LF position, when it's not him playing with his back against the goal. Great signing for me, and despite him being a record signing for the club, I do expect a record sale too, when the time comes, and a nice profit.

That game against Bayern must have been an electrifying match - full of drama. I bet your heart was racing by the end.
You must be so far ahead of Celtic that they might as well give you the trophy now. I see Parrott has hit a hat-trick, too. - Stlducks42 years agoSeasoned Vanguard
You FIFA'd Bayern! Unbelievable win and one that will be in the history books for how you held on until the end.
Man City looks like the hardest draw again, if you beat them then your could be the season to win it all.

Parrott is great for me. He was also great in the fall, and I did consider signing him permanently come end of season. So I guess Spurs recalling him halfway through just speeded things up.

Haha, yes that was a FIFA game for sure. And whilst I had the previous Europa League Quarter Final wins vs Spurs and Benfica in high regard earlier, this one truly takes the price now, as the European highlight so far in this save.
Man City will be difficult for sure. The most recent UEFA Coefficient Table had Bayern on top, with Man City second. So yes, results in the past 5 seasons does suggest that Man City is the hardest possible draw among the remaining clubs.

Echo previous comments regarding Bayern incredible result even tho was on the back foot, tbf losing 2-0 to Bayern wouldn't be considered a terrible result even after previous result, but getting the late goal and winning on pens with only shot on goal is satisfying. Tough tie again, it's one of those ties where your either gonna sneak it like against Bayern or Crazy City turn up and they unplayable

Thanks mate. I agree, I just played City in my Man United save, and they were unplayable then, winning 4-1 at Old Trafford. Awful. But this Rangers side is better put together at the moment, so there is a chance for me to do better here...

The league was a walk in the park, as expected. The gulf even between Celtic and Aberdeen is ridiculous, really, and just shows how uncompetitive the Scottish league is.
I find it incredible that the capital city doesn't have at least one team that can challenge, but I suppose that's th way it goes.
At least you can concentrate more on Europe now. - JustinCase01102 years agoSeasoned Ace

At least you can concentrate more on Europe now.I've thought about this too. Why are both the big clubs from Glasgow? And on top of that, Hampden Park is also in Glasgow. Surely you could have put the national team stadium in the capital, now you've chosen to have a stadium exclusively for the national team. Anyway, that's just my point of view as a foreigner. But yes, I did also consider taking an Edinburgh team and try to make them a competitive challenger to the two Glasgows at some point. Now that I've played so much Scotland this season, this idea may have to wait a bit. At least for me. Would be fun to see someone else have a go at it.

Just like that you have one foot into the next round and are looking like favorites back at home. Haaland on the bench is a big call for Pep.
The cup against Celtic is a blessing. Let them win the little cup while you take the league and hopefully Champions League to follow.

Yes, after three back to back cup wins for Rangers, I don't mind letting this one slide to the rivals, picking up the bread crumps... And it feels right somehow, them winning the league last season, Rangers winning the cup - and now it's reversed (IF they beat Hearts in the final of course).
The first game vs City was brilliant, especially after having stood against a storm vs Bayern. This was much easier, though it also required a bit of sharpness. I didn't have many chances apart from the two successful ones.
