Throwing the game against Brøndby? 🙂
I did not expect this type of start and I'm sure Rangers fans didn't either. A slow start in the league is one thing but being eliminated in the CL group stages would kill the season with the standard you have set in recent years.

No, at least not on purpose! I have a habit of either scoring or conceding a goal within the first 5 minutes after a goal being scored. So conceding in the 17th minute after scoring in the 13th was just another case of this - sometimes rather frustrating - habit. After scoring to 2-1 and NOT conceding within the first 5 or 10 minutes, I actually thought I would take home the 3 points. But then they scored out of nowhere from some Brazilian regen...
I totally agree with the season relying on European success. So ending 4th in the Champions League would be a huge setback after the results in recent seasons. However, ending 3rd in a group like this and taking another shot at a Europa League win, I could see this as a great alternative to a CL knockout.

Elimination from Champions League wouldn't be great we'd all prefer to be there, but if it was 8j 3rd place and having a realistic shot at winning Europa League it's far from end of world may be able to push on in CL but expectations not achievements likely to be as high.
I see Celtic did level things up with you in the league but your unbeaten still even if things aren't perfect

Yes, I agree with the Champions League vs Europa League verdict. There is certainly an attraction in dropping down and improving the odds for a European final / title. But again, you could also be unlucky to be paired with a monster in the Preliminary Round, and then it was all for nothing. We'll see how it goes. From this point in time, 4th halfway through, I think I'll just need to take what I can get and don't get too picky about preferring one over the other.
Celtic catching up, yes, I've dropped some silly points already, really lacking this 'a goal per game' scorer that I had last season with Rutter. He was insane, not even playing as a number 9, but still scoring that regularly. I can't say that Parrott nor the young Arthur Craig have been poor or anything. I've just missed that little extra, and I suppose that's just what happens, when you sell a player for £60 million without spending much replacing him.
