I've noticed this too, this year fifa 24 or ea fc 24 is the most toxic fifa yet. I've been kicked out clubs for nothing, had abuse hurled at me, lost count of the number of level 1 trolls who've come in my team and started throwing and scoring own goals (the must win play off system is PERFECT for trolls to throw and sell a game)
Overall I'd say its because the game is bad. I think since they took off the fifa branding lots of loyal fans didn't buy it, and I think the player base has more little obnoxious kids (15a and under) who are just looking to troll
The game is just horrendously bad and has the toxic playbase it deserves
