Can’t invite friend to club

I’m having issues inviting 1 friend to our club on FC24, there are 4 of us and we are friends on the Xbox, friends on EA social and have played pros for years without issues.

I've created our club this time, invited the other 2 fine but the other guy doesn’t show up on the social tab to invite to the club even though the other 2 do.

he can’t find the club by searching for it either.

we are all on Xbox so can’t imagine it’s the cross play settings?

Any ideas?
