Career Mode is completely unplayable

I'm currently trying to play the my player career mode while controlling only my player. But it's literally impossible to play the game because regardless of who the opponents are, the AI on my team plays like crap. They can't keep the ball EVER while attacking, never play good passes, dont make any chances and while defending they literally just look at the opponents and walk alongside them without ever putting in a takcle. The opponent AI however is always playing like prime barca and almost always get a shot away on goal. Yes i have tried holding RB, it makes no difference, they just run with them. I've even changed the sliders in settings as much as i can but it MAKES NO DIFFERENCE... Thats how broken this mode is.
