Career Mode Substitutes!!!!

EA, I think I speak for all career mode enthusiasts when I say RAISE THE AMOUNT OF PLAYERS WE CAN HAVE ON THE BENCH!!!!!

Currently we are only allowed 7 in career mode, this takes a whole level of realism out of the game that your fanbase craves.

EPL Currently allows 9 bench players

The World Cup allowed 15 bench players for the 2022 World Cup

European Competitions allow 12 bench players

Serie A allows 15 bench players

Eredivisie allows 12 bench players

The list could continue... The reason this is so frustrating for the player base is that most of these bench sizes aren't a rule that was implemented in the past year so why have they not changed in game yet??? There's a change to restrict the bench to 5 for the Papa Johns Trophy and that's it.

I truly hope that we don't have to wait for FC25 to see this change as the career mode community has felt neglect for a very long. It would boost the communities morale and give us a reason to praise the game mode rather then focus on its flaws that have stayed the same through countless iterations of the game.

    I get it's another visual issue, but I don't understand why so many are frustrated over this you still only get to make 5 subs.

    I do remember reading last year I think that a reason they hadn't increased the size was because of the risk of forfeiting games for those players using the bare minimum sized squads. I don't know what the official rules are anymore with squad availablity but I know a few weeks back my team Leeds were short on players and named 1 less sub in FIFA/FC if not enough to fill bench then it's a forefeit. I can only think this is the reason why still for the bench.

    Whilst it's nice to have more realism for me this is a lower priority as it doesn't affect our ability to play the game

    @thurlow885 It is not a visual issue, it's a gameplay issue. It's not about the 5 subs, it's the ability to chose how to use them.

    Sometimes when a game is decided you might want to bring on some youngsters with little gametime. In a tight cup game you're barely leading late you might want to throw on more defenders.

    Problem is with only the bench of 7 your choices are extremely limited, and you basically have to determine your substitution pre game regardless of match development.

    Also 9-15 players benches shouldn't result in more forfeits. There is a difference between the minimum players required on a bench, and the maximum allowed. Having like 12 in a league that allows those numbers, isn't mandatory.

    The one problem I may suspect is it would force someone in this multi bullion dollar company to actually spend an afternoon to look up league rules, and code the possibility of empty slots. While they would much rather spend all their time making useless fut items someone might spend an extra buck on..
