Hansen has been one of my best players this season. Hvidovre started the season slow but they have come on strong the last few months and are climbing the table.
I'm pretty sure you mean Andreas Hansen, for context. But with Kian Hansen and Mads Hansen also in your squad, you may want to add first names in future posts 😉
Hansen is one of the most frequently used last names in Denmark, with only Jensen and Nielsen being used more. And with quite a gap to Pedersen and Andersen, number 4 and 5 on the list. Pedersen would kick Hansen's butt though, if Pedersen and Petersen could collaborate. Petersen is number 11 on the list, and together they would have around 250.000. Christensen and Kristensen (pronounced exactly the same) would also enter top 5 if put together.
Most frequently used last names in Denmark top 10 (2023):
Jensen 268.346
Nielsen 267.030
Hansen 223.478
Pedersen 168.268
Andersen 162.563
Christensen 122.199
Larsen 119.299
Sørensen 114.366
Rasmussen 96.958
Jørgensen 90.695
The first last name on the list not ending with "sen", is Møller in 19th with 30.357 being called that. I'm not sure if any of this information is useful, but I got bored at work and felt like going down this particular road. 😃
Good job beating OB and important to get Sertdemir on the scoresheet. He was surrounded by so much hype, when he joined Leverkusen some time ago, being hailed as the "new Havertz". I don't think he's lived up to the hype so far though. He would appear as one of those talents, who doesn't quite have "it". But if you get him up and running, I suppose the sky is the limit for him.
Disappointing result in Hvidovre, that's definitely one you should have got 3 points from. But with 1 shots against 17, I suppose they FIFA'd you there.

Sertdemir is a player I'm trying to improve. He's still young and I like the way he feels with the ball unlike Walta. I know I will have to sell one of my midfielders soon which means Sertdemir will get his chances.

With progression guaranteed the pressure is off against Fenerbahce and hopefully no repeat of the last result and maybe can get a win back.
Some good looking potential in the youth will hopefully help the club progress in the near future band then potentially help the club financially if they gain interest from abroad.

The youth will help the club either by being sold or replacing players being sold. With my small budget, the level of players I can afford are not much better than the youth players right now.

Journal entry 3
Start of the winter transfer window
Halfway through the season and things are going as well as I could have hoped. We advanced in Europe and are still alive to win the league and in the quarter finals of the league cup.
This week had sad news for the club. Christian Rasmussen is going back to Ajax. He was a good player for us on the wing or at striker and I hoped to sign him permanently but a torn ACL made the signing too risky.
Three more players are leaving this week. Deals the club agreed to earlier in the season. With the additional profit, we were able to hire another scout in Africa. I know the senior players are pressuring myself and the club to sign a first team player but we need to be patient. A signing might happen for a defensive midfielder if the right deal comes along but we will not rush it.
Good bye Kaare, Andreas, and Adamo.

Good result in Europe, but a humbling defeat to league leaders afterwards. Hopefully Ingvartsen finds his scoring boots again so can actually take the record, he may say it isn't,but pretty sure he's feeling the pressure

I am trying too hard with him. But good things are coming...

Wow, only 30 percent possession, that's really not the usual style of FC Nordsjælland. (A good result and performance from my favourites though 😉 ) Seems your squad depth is hurting from fighting on several fronts. Historically that's also something that only FC København have been able to do consistently, whilst other top sides have usually failed to take a good domestic form into Europe. Perhaps having one season where it "clicks", but never doing well across several seasons. Perhaps FCN will be the ones to break that poor cycle. It is a difficult balance though, cause an early exit from Europe and suddenly you just have a squad that is way too big for the Danish league and only a very limited amount of cup games...
I see you followed through on my advice to sign Emiliano Marcondes. Him and Ingvartsen could become a deadly duo by Danish league standards, if their rivalry becomes a fruitful one in stead of one filled with individual ambition to be the club's leading man. I am quite interested in seeing how this will unfold. Good mention of club records too, quite a few blasts from the past for me there. Bajram Fetai for instance, haven't thought about him for years...

Quite the thumping off Bronby which opened up a little gap for them. Doing well in Europe as well which is great.
What's the position requirements in this league for European tournament qualifying number of spots etc?

I might be able to respond here.
Firstly, no one qualifies directly for the Champions League. The champion enters the final qualifying round with one opponent home and away, whilst the runner-up needs to get past two rounds to qualify.
Then there are the cup winner and the third place entering Europe too. I'm not sure if they enter the group stage automatically or need to qualify first. I might have seen Danish clubs in the Europa League qualifiers in the beginning of a season, but I'm not sure from which league position (or cup?) these clubs had to enter the qualifiers.
Apart from the top 3 and the cup winner, the final spot is - as far as I know - a playoff between number 4 and the winner of the bottom half. You know, the league is divided in top and bottom after 22 games, so there's actually a benefit from being number 7 rather than 5 or 6, when the season ends.
