Chelsea have slid away a bit, hopefully you can bring them higher up the table - although I must admit that in real life, I do like the current top-4 made of London, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham. The even (geographical) spread just feels good to me. But in any case, I do hope you become the top London team then, good luck!

Same here, old-timer myself - Career Stories have been a thing of mine ever since manager mode was introduced, which I believe was in 2004 (...?) alongside the return of the Dutch Eredivisie; I'm half-Dutch / half-Polish, so anything related to Dutch football (Ajax Amsterdam) or Polish football (Wisla Kraków) is slightly more important than the rest from my point of view.

In fact, I don't think any of us here are very young: I mean, who of the young generation writes out their stories still; them lazy rascals make videos nowadays...

It's awesome to connect with a fellow old-timer who appreciates the classic charm of career stories! Here's to cherishing our shared love for the beautiful game and the joy of crafting career stories together!

Welcome mate, and what a start to your new campaign, losing all three Pre-season fixtures. A great platform to go from, with plenty of room for improvement.

I haven't been around as long as you and @Danimal5981, think I started writing half a decade ago or something. 2018 or 2019, I think it was. But I am turning 40 this year, so I suppose the old-timer expression also fits in my case.

I'm Danish, by the way, so if one has an interest in the Danish league at some point, or needs some insight in Danish players, I'm always happy to contribute with everything I know. I have also started stories in Denmark, with my favourite club Brøndby and my local team Vejle (moved here in 2014, Brøndby used to be my local team).
