October 11th.
My preferred "favorite team" was changed at the very login time. I didn't even go any further and restarted the FC24. Upon the second login, my "favorite team" was back to normal. Here are controller settings that were, yet again, reset from last time I played:
-Ball (reset back to default)
-Locked to player camera (reset to Co-op)
-Power shot zoom (reset back to ON). THIS IS NOW 1+year that the "power shot zoom" keeps reseting.
-Player Styles+Overhead Indicators (reset back to ON)
-Precision Pass Visuals (reset back to ON)
-Precision Shot Visuals (reset back to ON)
-Radar (reset back to 2D). THIS IS NOW 1+year that the "radar" keeps reseting.
Time spent reseting controls plus complaining about it -- 15 min, i.e. the minimum amount of time which I could have spent waiting to find a match in a drop in lobby.
Later, today.
I have played a few club matches. Controller setting got reset, my "favorite profile team" got reset. I am not going to re-write details -- controller settings stability needs work, a.s.a.p.
Some of the same problems have carried over from Fifa 23. The very least that EA can do is fix those -- power shot and radar.
Unfortunately, fixing the price of the game and the annual membership upward took priority. Had I known how bad this is in mid-October, mind that I HAVE played beta-FC24, I would have stayed with FiFA23 for few months and would have bought my FC24 game as a "used" game at Gamespot. If at all.
P.S.: If you send me a link to "how to report a technical issue", I will stop posting on this issue. I have been around long enough to know "how to submit a request" for anything. To be honest, one would have more satisfaction of writing their frustration on piece of paper and then burning it, instead of filling out EA's forms and waiting for reply that never comes or a clubs' improvement that is long overdue.
