Ha, my Rangers career is slowly, but steadily turning into a little reunion of players I've used as go-to players through various saves over the years. The club did most of the job with James Tavernier, Dujon Sterling and Ianis Hagi (though out on loan in season 1), all players I've signed more than once in the past. And now my signings of Brandon Williams and Oliver Burke has only added to the mix. Who else are there?
Michael Murillo, Marseille, and Aiden O'Neill, Standard Liège, that's also the case with them - ironically I've played against them both this season, with Rangers. And then there are Cucho Hernández, Columbus Crew, Luis Díaz, Colorado Rapids (not the Liverpool one) and Tahith Chong, Luton Town.
What about you guys? Do you have any "usual suspects", whom you tend to sign repeatedly?

I have a Man United career at the moment and my first signings were:
1) Lautaro Martinez (a lot of money, but I did sell Casemiro for £94 million to offset)
2) Facundo Farias (of course!)
3) Pablo Gavi
4) Kephren Thuram.
Martinez was a favourite of mine back to when he was a kid still in Argentina. I haven't signed him for the last couple of Fifas, so it is nice to play him again.
Farias, well, you already know I think he's great. He's still banging in the goals...
I signed Gavi twice last year - to United in my first career and then Las Palmas
Thuram was another I signed to United in that career I had where the club was cleaned out by the Glazers.
At the moment, I have Elissie Ben Seghir (another Las Palmas signing last year) in my transfer queue, but he's currently on loan, so he might come in summer '24 in this career.

- @CO88LER5 Haha, Farías, should have known... That save of yours. Anything you're considering writing about at some point?
I try to avoid signing players I have previously used unless they used to play for Spurs or the academy and I'm bringing them back to the club. I do not have a lot of players knowledge outside of England and America so I use CM to learn new players.
This Spurs v Chelsea game is crazy. Spurs went down to 10 men 33 minutes in, down to 9 men 55 minutes in and kept it 1-1 until 75'.
Overall about 5 goals ruled out by VAR. And all of them were very close and looked onside to the naked eye.
- VAR is stupid. It was never going to work and it makes things worse.
Referees make mistakes and those should just be allowed to happen; it's all part of the game. They probably even out for each club, over a season.
Strikers miss the target all the time, Players misplace passes. Goalkeepers fail to stop a shot. Errors everywhere; it's part of life.
I can really see a club eventually managing to force a replay of a match, much as Klopp suggested recently, at which point the game is finished as a sport. Who would go to watch a match knowing that the end result might well be settled in court later? - @JustinCase0110
I didn't think I would write this one. It's just an acclimatisation to the game, really, as I only got it a couple of weeks ago. There's no real storyline about it. Here's the basic summary, though:
I sold Casemiro and Eriksen (Newcastle wanted Eriksen, so I got Anthony Gordon in a swap), bought the four I mentioned and set about seeing where the season would go. Oh, and I brought Greenwood back from his Getafe loan.
In January, I bought Nuno Mendes and shipped Shaw out as a part exchange. I loaned out Hannibal to the Netherlands and bought a couple of youngsters - a right back and a CB - to develop further.
We have just won the PL with 2 games to go. We got thumped by Bournemouth 6-2 earlier in the season in a rather bizarre match and also hammered by Aston Villa in similar circumstances.
We comprehensively lost in the CL semis in Barcelona 3-0. I couldn't even get a shot in. Then last night the return match at Old Trafford happened. I played the same players, changed formation to 4-3-1-2 (from 4-4-2) and I hammered them 6-0 (they played the same side, too).
This game is a bit inconsistent, to say the least.
I might start a "writable" career soon.

This is also something I'm trying to live by, actually. But on the other hand, I also don't want to restrict myself from signing someone, whom I might perhaps want to sign in a future save. That would be a headache for me, not signing a player, because at some later point, in FC24 or FC25, there might come a time, where I would want to sign that particular player for a club that might even be a better match for him. And then I had already burned that bridge...
But generally, yes, I do also try to avoid signing the same over and over. I didn't a few years ago though, and my saves were also usually shorter back then, often bringing in the same players for a number of different clubs, rarely going beyond season 2 or 3 before starting over somewhere new. So maybe that's also why it quickly became dull and repetitive, and it's more fun - in my opinion - to explore the game a bit more and get a bit further into the careers now. Which also provides a great opportunity to get acquainted with more players, or at least FC24's version of the real life players.

That's what I liked about my Las Palmas career in Fifa 23. It's good to explore other players, certainly, but I also find that, if you go 3, 4 or 5 seasons, you can really bring through some academy players, who of course you won't encounter in the future.
I stopped signing Lautaro Martinez (until now) because he'd become established in Europe, but I still like to repeatedly sign a much younger player not yet established in the game (like Farias, for example), because I am still 'developing' him. not that I'm stalling, but I post my career story in two languages and the Dutch (Fifa Benelux website) was offline for a couple of days and in order to make sure none of the two stories is too much forward or behind, I lowered the pace for a mo'...
