I try to avoid signing players I have previously used unless they used to play for Spurs or the academy and I'm bringing them back to the club. I do not have a lot of players knowledge outside of England and America so I use CM to learn new players.
This Spurs v Chelsea game is crazy. Spurs went down to 10 men 33 minutes in, down to 9 men 55 minutes in and kept it 1-1 until 75'.
Overall about 5 goals ruled out by VAR. And all of them were very close and looked onside to the naked eye.
- VAR is stupid. It was never going to work and it makes things worse.
Referees make mistakes and those should just be allowed to happen; it's all part of the game. They probably even out for each club, over a season.
Strikers miss the target all the time, Players misplace passes. Goalkeepers fail to stop a shot. Errors everywhere; it's part of life.
I can really see a club eventually managing to force a replay of a match, much as Klopp suggested recently, at which point the game is finished as a sport. Who would go to watch a match knowing that the end result might well be settled in court later?

This is also something I'm trying to live by, actually. But on the other hand, I also don't want to restrict myself from signing someone, whom I might perhaps want to sign in a future save. That would be a headache for me, not signing a player, because at some later point, in FC24 or FC25, there might come a time, where I would want to sign that particular player for a club that might even be a better match for him. And then I had already burned that bridge...
But generally, yes, I do also try to avoid signing the same over and over. I didn't a few years ago though, and my saves were also usually shorter back then, often bringing in the same players for a number of different clubs, rarely going beyond season 2 or 3 before starting over somewhere new. So maybe that's also why it quickly became dull and repetitive, and it's more fun - in my opinion - to explore the game a bit more and get a bit further into the careers now. Which also provides a great opportunity to get acquainted with more players, or at least FC24's version of the real life players.

That's what I liked about my Las Palmas career in Fifa 23. It's good to explore other players, certainly, but I also find that, if you go 3, 4 or 5 seasons, you can really bring through some academy players, who of course you won't encounter in the future.
I stopped signing Lautaro Martinez (until now) because he'd become established in Europe, but I still like to repeatedly sign a much younger player not yet established in the game (like Farias, for example), because I am still 'developing' him. not that I'm stalling, but I post my career story in two languages and the Dutch (Fifa Benelux website) was offline for a couple of days and in order to make sure none of the two stories is too much forward or behind, I lowered the pace for a mo'...
