@JustinCase0110From my perspective, we were dreadful. An elite club playing at home with 33% possession is appalling. At one point, I started to count consecutive passes and the number of times we managed only two before giving the ball back to Spurs I lost count of, in the end.
Ten Hag talked about control when he first came. We have had none in all the recent matches, except of course the Wigan game. I honestly don't have a clue what they do in training every day. You'd expect at least that they can pass the ball, but that sems to be beyond them.
The only bright sparks are Mainoo and Garnacho at the moment, in my opinion.
I have no idea what system and strategy they are supposed to be playing. It seems to me that there is a reliance on someone - anyone - unleashing a flash of brilliance at some point in a match, and that's it.
I reckon ten Hag will be gone in the summer, unless he really raises his game. Ratcliffe isn't going to put up with this for long.
What's so frustrating is that back in the 1970s, we were rubbish, but at least you could see the players were really trying; their problem was that they weren't of the right standard. With this lot, there are some really good players in there, but they aren't delivering. You'd expect to pay your money and at least get proper effort, a recognisable playing style, and so on.
You might be interested to know as well that ten Hag doesn't have quite the crowd support that the Press are saying. I know people who go to every home match, and certainly where they sit, the supporters have had enough of him.
