Haven't seen this one, no. But I did sent someone on a loan to some club that had a bugged club name. Don't recall it now, but it was very long and contained a lot of symbols and signs. I don't expect anything strange to happen there. More strange than this, I mean.

Been busy with exams/work lately - hows everyone getting on?

I see you're still alive and kicking. 

A few regulars on here but not like the old days. I think a lot of people play the online modes now which is a shame. I'm enjoying this years game.

Me too. It has its dings and flaws, but I thoroughly enjoy it too. I'm also not attracted to the online modes, so I'm just continuing to explore the universe of Career Mode.

I just saw Ibrahim Osman signed with Brighton. Funny to see a player I didn't know until this career and now he's suddenly coming to the PL. 

Same with Diomande going to the Rangers.

I agree, it is funny. I once signed this young striker from Lech Poznan. Didn't know much about him, just seemed like a good fit for a striker. Some time later he joined Dortmund IRL as a backup to Lucas Barrios, who was Klopp's preferred number 9 at the time. But then the young striker became a starter for Die Schwarzgelben and lead them to back to back Bundesliga titles, one of them being a first ever domestic double for Dortmund, also qualifying them to the Champions League final after scoring all 4 goals in a 4-1 win vs Real Madrid in the semi final.

I think we've all had our Freddy Adu's too, players who were good and promising in the game, but never made it on the big stage IRL. But it is funny, when we are sometimes able to find a real gem in game and watch them develop into great real life footballers later on.

Hardly playing anymore here, unfortunately. When I do, it's usually Clubs with friends... And it's more for the laughs we have while playing than for the matches themselves.

That's why I've almost disappeared from here also.

Long gone are the career mode days, unfortunately.

Not that I haven't tried though: I've started a FIFA 14 career with PEC Zwolle (that game on Xbox One is underrated in my opinion) before FC 24 came out, but I abandoned it somewhere into the 2nd season. I've then tried to lead Macclesfield to glory in FIFA 19, and failed miserably...

I'd love to try another MLS campaign with FC 24 (which all in all I don't dislike) but I don't think I'd have the time and the will to keep going through it.

I had a lot of players who turned great in my career from the Tottenham academy but IRL they did not live up to the hype. Josh Onomah was my favorite one. He was amazing in FIFA and Spurs fans were so excited for him in the academy. But he never worked out. 

@JustinCase0110 A 2 month break in the Danish league? That is crazy. What is the reason for no games in December or January?

Yeah, I get that fully. I must admit I've played more UT/Clubs than CM this year. Evos has got me trying UT a bit and then cross-play on Clubs has meant we've reformed a club from a few years ago.

The weather, I think. It's been like that forever, or at least for as far as I remember. You may argue that the weather isn't that different from the British weather, but the money is also smaller and I suppose the clubs can't afford a proper heating of the pitch, which makes them impossible to play on during January/February.

At least we haven't done like Norway and Sweden, who play after the calendar year, starting the season in March and ending it in December (as far as I know).

In all three countries we are also seeing more and more clubs beginning to play on artificial grass, which is the case for both FC Nordsjælland and Silkeborg, just to name a few. Which is a huge nuisance for any club visiting them and being used to play on real grass.

@Alastairhufc England in league B, how the mighty have fallen. 

Getting a little frustrated with Career Mode at mo, in general enjoying it happy with where am at etc, but the morale is broken. Club captain has missed 1 game this season And with no warning whatsoever after last match hands in transfer request form lack of game time and needs a move. He even played in that game. I also backed out and checked last save point as was first match today and there was no concern plus I've been keeping regular checks on morale as already lost a player I had in plans etc. now I accept things like this happen in football, but not so randomly. My team come next season will.be unrecognisable after 4 seasons because of this morale issue I've been having.

Tactical to make sure we still win the matches despite the players still being hungover after winning the Euros.

On a side note, I've never been more disappointed in Finland than hearing you're sending windows95man to Eurovision...

Bit of a farce tbh but at least the guy's singing is serviceable.

I've had this as well and likewise just ensure they play a few more games and usually all is A OK, but I've had this every season so far and it's always a key player. I see nothing wrong with morale then out of nowhere they wanna leave because they being held back due to lack of game time or something like that and every time it's a first team regular current player has played 14 out of 15 league games, previous season player had missed 2 or 3 out of 20. Also each time it was after our previous discussion or something along those lines, yet I hadn't had any messages from player regarding contracts or game time etc.

Another issue I've been having, even tho form is up and down I've always been above board objectives etc, but multiple times a season I get the message from captain saying he needs to speak because they feel club is going nowhere and not achieving targets. I know this usually just sorts itself out, but it's annoying especially has even when I was top of the league in The Championship I was getting these messages 

So, I had a complete hardware meltdown and essentially lost everything I've been working on, gaming on etc.

Need to start all from the beginning once more. But now, with the winter transfers done I can progress into the future and do 2024-25 as season 1.

Thinking about returning to my homestead Ajax for the future story.

Ouch, that hurts!

Sorry to hear that. I've been in a similar situation here, some 15 years ago: the RAID controller on my machine died and thought it would be a good idea to bring a disk to hell with him (RAID 0, so... Goodbye data).

Hopefully you had recent backups at least of the things you were working on, as that's the important thing.

About gaming, on the other hand... Well, starting a new career won't be the end of the world I guess. It's just annoying.

What was his contract situation?  Was it thumbs down?
