A few thumbs down but nothing major, but ones who put in transfer requests came out of nowhere. I tend to play close attention to them because of this problem and ones which still had thumbs down I had already negotiated new contracts with. It's just been a little frustrating as it happened to only players that were playing regularly and in my long term plans
Now that the winter transfers are done, I've been playing a couple of careers that I didn't post about. Mostly 2nd tier teams from England, Spain, France and Germany, but also another attempt at rebuilding Ajax (this time, Louis van Gaal takes over the reigns).
The one in England was surprisingly fun, but many here are already oriented on and writing about English football, so that would be nothing new. My knowledge about French football is limited, though it seems the most realistic as in French football big teams go down, while smaller teams come up easier. In that sense, to wurm myself into a top 6 place in Spain and/or Germany is quite the challenge. And I'm tempted to start another Ajax-campaign now that I've seen that my first career was a bit optimistic (I appreciate realism on the short term).
In short, I do not really know which one to share here:

- Ajax (struggling in NED & EUR)
- QPR (struggling in ENG, 2)
- Kaiserslautern (struggling in GER, 2)
- Bordeaux (struggling in FRA, 2)
I'm not very good with outside England these days which is sad really, was never an expert but once upon a time I used to follow Italian, French, German and Spanish leagues closely and have knowledge of others. But now I didn't even know Ajax were having struggles for example until you mentioned it here.
Personally I wouldn't mind seeing Bordeaux, I always used to have a soft spot for French League pre PSG dominance and again I keep forgetting Bordeaux are where they are these days
I second @thurlow885 in regards to Bordeaux.
On the other hand, you should always do these things for yourself, so if any one of the others feel more right for you, then that's what you should do. But French football hasn't been too represented here, so that's probably the one I'd be most curious about. Now you ask.

I'm afraid my knowledge of French fooball is too limited, which undermines my strife for realism. I'm still juggling between QPR, 1.FC Kaiserslautern or Ajax. Last one is obviously a given (I do it every year), but I would like to play in a country where one can earn promotion, or relegate.

As I said, one should never do things to please eventual readers (God knows there are also times when no one reads it anyway). 😉
For me, I actually like the idea of jumping into the unknown to start something I don't know much about. Some years back I started a career with Brøndby, and it was almost exhausting to write all these details that I find to be useful information for people who aren't as familiar with my favourite club as I am. And I expect you to be full of these facts and memories about Ajax too, so I would imagine it's a tough task to sort between the "need" and the "nice".
Then I went to start with a Norwegian club, Ranheim I think, which I knew very little of. And it was quite fun for me to explore that, look into their history etc. Apparently they have an "only Norwegians" policy, restricting my transfer business to Norwegians only. But it was quite fun and made more sense to me than the Brøndby save, where my desire to bring everyone up to speed on historic events etc. kind of killed the joy of playing with them.
But obviously different people have different preferences, and one should just do things his own way.
My updates will likely be few and far between again for a while. My gaming time gonna be taken up with WWE 2k24 for near future especially as I get paid for playing it these days (not a lot) will still do what I can in CM tho and keep up with stories, hopefully a few more start up again soon

Haha yeah, it's not much but Wrestling Fans are a funny bunch. I do quite a lot of creating and kept getting offered money for certain creations last year. This year I'm a bit more skint so I've accepted the offers this time 😂
