contract issue in career mode

I didnt renew a players contract and before january he signed a pre contract for some reason. Im pretty sure players can only sign pre contracts after january, but anyway. he signed it, and left in january... he had 6 months left on his contract and left for free in january. Average EA game experience. Please fix your game.
