I just caught up, normally I would not read through 15 pages of a career and only skim through the last 5 or so to get a good feeling for the CM but I really like this Idea you have.
It's a shame (but realistic) that the leagues are forming back to how they are in real life after a few years but it is still a fun idea. The only way to make it different i guess would be to manually transfer a few players away from the big clubs that were relegated.
It looks like you found a style to win in the lower leagues and promotion is coming again. I wonder when you will see the gap in wages and talent really start to show?
I hope Palace move up to the Championship with you. Watching them continue moving up with you could form a nice rival story.

Thanks for catching up mate. The idea of Palace in League One would probably be hard to fathom, if one hadn't paid attention to the start of the story.
I'm not surprised to see things go back to normal either. I rather expected it and primarily made the changes to avoid an ecpectation to win League Two in the first season. With Chelsea, Fulham, Crystal Palace and more in the 4th tier, now I was just expected to finish midttable, as far as I recall. And I do enjoy a slower climb.
A rivalry with Palace, yes perhaps... I suppose it could be a fun story in the story, if that's going to happen. Coventry and Birmingham could also join the conversation, both currently above Palace in the league...

What sudden decline by Bolton, while Blackburn bolted up quickly. Finally some serious competition, great!
- 9 months ago@JustinCase0110
The Wednesday ( their original name) in the relegation places...wow.
I wonder how much the shake-up you did has affected the game's algorithms. Impossible to tell, obviously, but there are some weird things here, like Wednesday, and the relatively lowly positions of QPR, Bolton and even Huddersfield, not to mention Palace. - JustinCase01109 months agoSeasoned Veteran

Absolutely, competition is a treat. Never like it to be too easy anyway...

Much like my Man City experiment a year or two ago, where I relegated them to League Two and stripped them of their best players. Eventually watching how their climb would be, alongside rising in the ranks myself. Helps to mix things up and add something different to each story, I suppose...

I have the same question as the fans. What is the transfer plans in the winter? Do you have any areas in the squad that are really weak compared to the rest?

Adding to that: what's the vision of the manager, what's his tactical vision and what kind of players are needed for that? (use the game's traits to answer). Speed is a nice trait of course, but I've come to value the physical strength of a player as well: how does the manager see it?

Between us (not a public response through the media) I will probably look at the central striker for reinforcement. Ashley Fletcher and Kyle Wootton are pretty similar; big, physical strikers, and I think one of them has to go to make room for a new signing up front. Fletcher is probably the favourite to stay, and he could do well as an impact sub, coming on late to add some physical presence.
Apart from that I haven't identified any positions in need of strenthening. The squad is rather balanced, and my most recent academy graduate, James Dennis, is adapting well to a bigger role than he was intended, playing both LB and LM/LW.

I think balance is the key for this manager. Some young players coming through, but also a great deal of players in their mid to late twenties. The same goes with pace etc., there are fast players in the full back and wing positions, but the strikers are not the fastest, and the same goes with some of the central players in defence and midfield.
There is one trait that seems to be in favour for the manager: Stamina. Kyle Knoyle almost played every minute in the first two seasons, having the lungs to do so without needing endless substitions. Elliot Watt is the same in midfield, and Mee seems to favour having 3-4 of these players, so he is free to substitute others, in order to be able to use most of the lineup again in the next match.
A new striker is probably the most likely addition in January. But if a second signing is made, it could very well be one to add a bit more lung capacity to the team.

A fortunate break to see the leaders slip up and you were able to take advantage of it. Hard to believe someone can go 159 games without an assit. You would think they would get one by accident in that many games.

Yeah maybe so. But I do actually find it hard to get assists from the centerbacks. Goals come from time to time, from corners etc, but it's not often I succesfully drive up the ball from those positions to create a goal.

Three in the lead, two will earn automatic promotion while the third will be forced to play-offs and miss promotion all together. Better not be that third team, that would make it feel sour: this is where the excellent defensive record comes in to keep you in 2nd for now. However, you could make it easier on yourself to score more than 1.57 goal avg. per game.

That's true. One of the three teams will be left disappointed and could end up with Crystal Palace in the playoff maybe. 3rd place finish in the league, and perhaps Palace make a push to end in 6th? That could be a terrible fate for the one missing out on the automatic promotions.
You're also right about the fact that my defence is carrying me for the time being. I've failed to score in 6 games this season, four times 0-0 and two 0-1 defeats. So a few more goals would work wonders for me, no doubt.

Your team is sounding like mine. Solid defense that is keeping you in games but the attack is letting you down. Avoiding the playoff has to be the main goal now, winning the league secondary.

Absolutely. In my mind there isn't the big difference between finishing first and second in a lower league tier as League One. Promotion is key, first or second place is not important.

Tricky: three in the lead and right now your defence is decisive.
But you're not first in terms of wins, or in terms of scoring goals.

8 goals in the last 3 matches. Looks like scoring form has returned on time. - LABoog49 months agoNew Ace
Scoring is improving and defense is staying strong. I think you are the new favorites for the title at this point.
QPR and Crystal Palace are major disappointments.

Absolutely. Been successful in avoiding defeat, so my big number of draws mean that both wins and losses are lower than those of my rivals.

I think so too. But it's been a little up and down for us, Blackburn and Coventry lately, taking turns to be number 1, 2 and 3. It's pretty close and very exciting. A few poor results, and the others will take the lead!
QPR are disappointing, yeah, but I'm speechless over Palace. That's not what I expected from them...
