What sudden decline by Bolton, while Blackburn bolted up quickly. Finally some serious competition, great!

Absolutely, competition is a treat. Never like it to be too easy anyway...

I have the same question as the fans. What is the transfer plans in the winter? Do you have any areas in the squad that are really weak compared to the rest?

Adding to that: what's the vision of the manager, what's his tactical vision and what kind of players are needed for that? (use the game's traits to answer). Speed is a nice trait of course, but I've come to value the physical strength of a player as well: how does the manager see it?

Between us (not a public response through the media) I will probably look at the central striker for reinforcement. Ashley Fletcher and Kyle Wootton are pretty similar; big, physical strikers, and I think one of them has to go to make room for a new signing up front. Fletcher is probably the favourite to stay, and he could do well as an impact sub, coming on late to add some physical presence.
Apart from that I haven't identified any positions in need of strenthening. The squad is rather balanced, and my most recent academy graduate, James Dennis, is adapting well to a bigger role than he was intended, playing both LB and LM/LW.

I think balance is the key for this manager. Some young players coming through, but also a great deal of players in their mid to late twenties. The same goes with pace etc., there are fast players in the full back and wing positions, but the strikers are not the fastest, and the same goes with some of the central players in defence and midfield.
There is one trait that seems to be in favour for the manager: Stamina. Kyle Knoyle almost played every minute in the first two seasons, having the lungs to do so without needing endless substitions. Elliot Watt is the same in midfield, and Mee seems to favour having 3-4 of these players, so he is free to substitute others, in order to be able to use most of the lineup again in the next match.
A new striker is probably the most likely addition in January. But if a second signing is made, it could very well be one to add a bit more lung capacity to the team.
