EAFC 24 bug - Career mode season 4

I’ve been playing career mode and really enjoying it. I must have put 20+ hours into this career, playing as Charlton Athletic.

I finally made it to the Premier league but the game crashes every time I open the save for the first day of the new season. 

I also went back to before the new season started to try again but as soon as I end season 3 and season 4 begins, the game crashes.

This is very frustrating and needs to be fixed ASAP or I need to be fully refunded for my purchase. 

Has anyone experience something similar and found a fix?
