FC 24 Player Career advancement is impossible

I’m on my third season in my Player Career now, just about to start the new one. But for reasons beyond my understanding, I am unable to do so. I’m about to sign a contract extension with Nottingham Forest, with all its bonuses (all completed), but the game just crashes when I sign. The only time I have the opportunity to renew is before the last match of the season, match that occurs on the very last day of the season, which I would think is the source of the problem. So I play it, and I get the “end season” screen that would allow me to renew with my club (it doesn’t) or to change clubs altogether, an option that is also unavailable to me. Mind you I meet the requirements for various clubs, but the function that allows me to sign with them is just not there, so it’s not an error from my end. I’ve tried some of the methods found on this forum, but to no avail. Will EA ever fix this? Obviously it’s a minuscule thing, so I think they won’t, but it’s still very annoying that the only game mode that I play is broken. Attached pictures show the game at the mentioned stages, being “Renew Contract” before the match, “Change Club” after it, and the Napoli one is what’s shown when attempting to change club.
