Maybe, but won't be a disastrous season if we don't, the board expect a mid table finish with long term objective of promotion within 3 seasons which brings me to....
I do have a long term plan, I certainly don't see myself getting promoted this season definitely not top 2. I think with Blackburn losing a couple important players in the summer expectations were lower this year it's it's more about rebuilding/restructuring and forming a team. There are some players which in reality could still leave especially with another year in The Championship, but if can hold onto any of those and build around them to create a team that can grow in the Premier League over a few seasons
@Danimal5981 wrote:Still in striking distance for the play-offs, but one could also consider to take the route of reinforcing the team in order to dominate the Championship a second year running, so to make a good entry into the EPL.. In other words, have you thought long term about a plan, given the situation Blackburn are in? (consider it a media question 😉 )

Good quote, easy to twist: media break-in!...

Fans always talk about 'ambition', without any real understanding of the reality; that clubs have a ceiling and there are only short periods when they can get above that ceiling.
For most clubs, 'ambition' is still being in business for next season... - Danimal59812 years agoSeasoned Ace

For most clubs, 'ambition' is still being in business for next season...I am aware of that, however: today's media just love such a slip of the tongue.
Feeding a fire, just because football players (and managers) aren't linguists...

Haha, yes, and you've actually got a talent for that kind of work. I remember you "twisting" some of my words in FIFA23 too... That kind of interaction is awesome IMO...

Interesting few pieces of business so far. Zanka is a clever move, I think, bringing instant quality and experience. He's been struggling with injuries lately, I think, but he's one of those guys who can go weeks or months without playing, and then he just performs from minute one when called upon.
I do struggle to like him though. I'm not in the habit of hating players, just because they've played for FC København, but this guy is Copenhagen to the bone, and I can't stand him. Still gotta admire his ability to perform from a dry spell, whenever given the chance.

I jokingly considered testing the waters of starting a journeyman career at København to see if you outright ignore it 🤣 also decided against it because whilst I usually check history of signings before signing then incase there is any history I'd probably end up enraging you because I'd have signed some Brøndby legend/fan favourite or something 🤣
As for Zanka he's a more instant/now fix rather than long term and I often like having a few experienced signings especially when in Championship, but his stamina is rubbish, often can't play 2 games in a row with Championship fixture list
- JustinCase01102 years agoSeasoned Veteran@thurlow885 Hehe, I like to believe I would take a more advising role rather than a judgemental one, if one was going to play with *, as they're mostly referred to in Denmark. But who knows how I might react, if it happened one day, haha... I'm quite sure I wouldn't ignore it though.
Good to know you find the transfers amusing. I do too, though only to some extent. Perhaps 30% amuzing. And 70% sad. - JustinCase01102 years agoSeasoned VeteranApparently EA agree with me that FC København is bad news. When I try to write their three letter initials, which they're mostly referred to in Denmark, the site apparently block it and replace it with a *, as if I had written a U in between letters 2 and 3.

I don't know if I like that Sigurdsson is leaving but hey, transfer market drama has to hit sooner or later.
This being said, I have the solution for you: just stop giving away corners!
You're welcome.
Jokes apart, I'm very, very poor at this game so I can't suggest anything for set pieces but nothing is lost yet. You could still progresso to the playoffs and then, who knows?
Keep it going!

Sigurðsson was not part of the transfer plans, I expected bids on some players but a few others before him. Whilst I enjoyed using him and hoped to keep him I felt realistically I couldn't say no when Sporting came calling, I even negotiated the fee and I was quite stubborn and expected them to walk away, but they didn't and Sigurðsson obviously agreed a deal with them.

- JustinCase01102 years agoSeasoned VeteranTop 3 has run away, haven't they? But the next group of teams are all quite even, as evidenced by you jumping from 13th to 4th in only 5 games. Surprised to see this being possible this late in the season. This also means that you only have 3 points down to the "non-playoff" positions, so you need to keep performing, if you want to stay up there. Great form for the keeper - and the whole defence really. Defending used to be a struggle for you, didn't it? All the more impressive to build such a good defensive run.

Well well well, it looks like you're the first of the "humans" there.
Nice run as of late, keep it up! The table is tight and you'd need to keep focused if you want to get a good playoff position.
