30 years I have been buying these games but it's clear they don't want my business anymore and I will never fall for their FUT rubbish. Removing the pre-match presentation stuff along with the club music really was unacceptable for career mode users. And the micromanaging hell of the new training and sharpness "feature" is insulting to my intelligence.

I will only buy this game now if they fix those two issues and when it's half-price during the sale. So it seems likely that it may be the end because they will do neither.

@OIIIJazzOIIIIt’s quite obvious isn’t it, when you actually sit back and analyse it. Slowly declining and ruining the mode to a point where the 5-10% of players who still play career mode only, basically tap out and fade away. That 5-10% gets replaced by kids who pump money into FUT. They can’t wipe the mode out in one go, that would be disastrous PR, but what you can do is dedicate zero resources to it, improve / change and enhance nothing year after year, and add more and more faults year on year. If nobody believes me, take a step back for a second and take a look… What is different about career mode since Fifa 19? What has been improved? Enhanced? Altered to better user experience? Literally nothing …. Yet fools like me are out there every year buying it, hoping for a change but it never comes. Eventually I will have to tap out and submit, the fact I’ve been buying fifa since Fifa 96 and Fifa internationals won’t matter to them anymore as the business has changed and so has the demographic. But how can they be sure to phase me out? As I mentioned, I still buy it every year, so I am still here attempting to be heard? It doesn’t look like I’m giving up even though they’ve improved nothing over 5 years and seemingly don’t even employ a team to work and develop this area of the game …. Well there are a few things they can do to ensure their business model works:

-Objectives: Give the user impossible and unrealistic objectives, and if they aren’t completed they get the sack. It doesn’t matter if the user has spent their hard earned money to purchase the game, spent hours building a team and starting a real project, let’s sack them so they lose everything. Last year I got Burton to the Championship over 7 seasons, on the hardest setting, 9 minutes a half and I got sacked because I finished 12th yet the objective was to “gain automatic promotion”. Give me an option to turn this crap off, it’s my career mode, my game, my time, i don’t give a * about keeping player wages under a 5% increase within a season!
- Transfer requests: Once a player wants to leave, that’s it, he has to be sold, there isn’t a way to fix it. It doesn’t matter if you love the player, enjoy the career with him in your team, you get told you have to now sell him. Goodbye star player, you aren’t allowed him anymore. Yes I know it’s your game and your career but we are going to take this player off of you now, tough.
- Don’t add in any new stadiums, continue to offer the same old boring Ivy Lane, Molton Road. We’ve had these stadiums for years now, can we get some more? No of course not, we are mere peasants who play career mode and have invested in this game for over 25 years, before online even existed, why should we be entitled to new stadiums? How dare we want new football grounds, who we we think we are!?
- Pre match pressers: Ask the user stupid and random questions that will affect team morale and contribute to them getting the sack. What a waste of time, who designed this then? The kid on work experience? “Dean a lot has been made about you not including your star player for this game?” Yes that’s because he is **** injured for 3 months!
- Don’t improve Transfer Search. Same old basic nonsense, I wouldn’t mind but older Fifa titles used to offer so much detail within this feature. Meaning it’s gotten worse over time. Hi I am your scout, now I understand you are in League 2, but you have asked me to go and find a “prolific striker”, so good news for you, I have found one, his name is Lionel Messi …… **** you Fifa seriously !?
- Don’t offer any help or solutions on the forum
- Don’t take on board any feedback from committed Career Mode players, who combined know every single glitch and fault, you could use that knowledge and clean the mode up superbly, covering everything if you asked the community for a list of improvements.

But wait? The Career Moders are still here? They still aren’t going away? What can we do now? Let’s take away the intros and team sheet view, the most important part before every game ….

Nice one EA, your plan is working ! Soon we will all be gone and you will have your way.

This is the first time in a few years I haven't bought the game, just came to check if I'd made the right decision and unfortunately it looks like I have..

We're all shouting at clouds here, but at least it's somewhat therapeutic.  For three years I've said I'd stop buying it, but would always break down and buy it anyway.  I can't even say I'm disappointed after paying for the 10 hour trial.  I knew nothing relevant would be fixed and the new features would just be tedious and insulting.  This will truly be the first one I haven't bought since '96.

Think of all the nonsensical new features.  An email after every game to change a random player's training regimen.  Energy sapped and players failing to recover from matches after five days.  Code still appearing in the menus!  Players walking through the sideboards into the stands celebrating in front of the opposition crowd without reaction.  Identical triplet fans celebrating in exactly the same choreographed manner, dressed in the same clothing.  The lifeless commentary of the added crew, who can't even be accessed in career mode if you wanted.  A drill before a match.

How can there be even less teams?!

They left in everything we begged them to fix.  We spent precious time on these forums and were trying to help.  I guarded my comments and tried to be constructive, but just shouted into the void.  The game is a chore and they hate us.
