Ambitious window! Selling players for 75 million. As I recall, ASM wasn't getting a lot of starts, so selling him for that fee must have been a no-brainer. Prioe is different, since he was one of your top guys last season, but I think it's the right call, when Juventus come calling.
Replacements cost 120 million, with players signed for both defence, midfield and attack. Leeds are certainly ambitious, Anthony Gordon especially, signing him from Newcastle. Interesting!

I did a very large scouting search 2nd half of season and my shortlist became endless. I was getting priced out of a fair few players and considering what I wanted to buy I knew I was gonna use almost all my budget. Gordon wasn't first choice. I wanted to sign Igor Paixão since starting CM but he's always either been too highly rated or out of price range.
I didn't plan to spend as much as I did but I had settled on targets. There were a few others I'm supposed to sign 3 South Americans and a young player with higher potential than squad. I might have to do some free agent scouting just to complete my objectives, not something I really wanna do, but I have trust issues with the game even tho they are low priority š

Altho saying that cash could rise up again, I've had a fair few offers for Kenneth Taylor just not the right ones. Man United offered the most, but I ain't selling to them unless I can get an extra 25mil on top of valuation, because well it's Man United. Other offers haven't been realistic imo but right team right offer then yes. Don't feel the need to have to sell as team is doing well but if a Champions League side came in that's a different story

Interesting to see you sign Mamadou Sarr. In my Rangers career he's been a Leeds player through several seasons, being among my top targets for a new centerback. I ended up signing Omobamidele recently, but it was between him and Sarr, and I suppose I just went with the former because it was a better deal financially.
The Zorgane transfer is interesting. You had just fended United off for their approach for Taylor, and then they just took Zorgane in stead. Brilliant. I'm still considering a swoop for him in my Man United save, and perhaps the potential move isn't so unlikely after all, now that the AI has made that transfer in your save. Interesting.

Oh, didn't notice it at first, but I'm really looking forward to your games against Midtjylland in Europe. Always love to see Danish clubs in other saves. Good luck against them.

I wasn't letting Taylor go unless it was a ridiculous fee, United offered excess of 40 mil and I just sent back 75 mil and they soon left him alone. Zorgane who has been great I obviously didn't value as high, but I still got an extra 6/7 million on top of what Man United initially offered.
I also looking to have Taylor and Scott as my main partnership in midfield so I was at the stage of if someone made an offer then I'd let Zorgane go.
Sarr was a last minute deal and cost me a little more than expected, but I have plenty of funds left over, but still have to make 3 new signings this season (will likely do in January after scouting every under 19 Brazilian in the game š I stated the objective wrong last time. I need 3 South American Players signed and 2 under 20 with a higher potential than average squad so hopefully get that completed in same Search

What a rollercoaster ride scrolling down through your post just now. Draw at Chelsea, decent result. Comfortable win vs Boro, great job.
Then conceding 3 in 9 minutes at home vs Midtjylland, being stunned so hard that you lost the next two, at both Sheffield Utd and Brighton. Wow. Not what I expected from your return to European football. The shock from the Danish wolves must be over now, so you can start putting some results together again.

I didn't really have time to do more in depth write up and also wanted to be able get on with game when I was next able too, but in reality those 3 games the issue has been fatigue. I do have a slightly smaller squad this season altho all players have a chance to play unlike last season I was never gonna use a couple of them, but with a the early season fixtures plus Europe and League Cup piling up I guess my squad didn't quite have the fitness for it and some of the rotation didn't work out so well

Europa League form has drastically improved, that's good to see. And Man United leading the table, that's a nice bonus these days š Doesn't look like Zorgane is playing a huge part in that, but perhaps he will grow with the job eventually. He's also yet to settle in mine, but I may also have crowded the midfield a little too much, finding it hard to find games for everyone. Maybe when the European games start, then it will be easier to rotate.
Your fatigue issues makes sense, having a smaller squad now and a larger amount of games. I do prefer it this way though, needing players to play in secondary positions sometimes, making use of the whole squad in stead of some players never catching a game. Draws vs Arsenal and Newcastle also suggest that you've stabilized your form, so that's good to see.
Speaking of draws, you've had 6 of them, more than any of the other teams. It's a good draw, when you avoid defeat like the Arsenal game, and you've done well to only lose a couple so far. But you may want to look at some of the other draws you make and see if you can turn some of them into wins. That would surely help you climb the table.

Am I right in thinking that the last real life sale to Manchester United was Alan Smith?
The board must be popular with the fans - not!
Unbeaten start and the Community Shield - not bad. - thurlow8851 year agoSeasoned Ace

Some.of the draws have been frustrating Newcastle for example throwing away a 2 goal lead and quite a few of the draws we've had opportunities to kill game off, but keepers have turned into prime Never this season. Can't complain too much because despite a few conceded goals my keeper has kept a load more out.

Whilst I was angry at the time in the moment most fans won't accept he potentially saved us by making that move. In truth he didn't wanna go there and would've gone to Spurs or Newcastle who both made offers. The difference was Man United were only team willing to pay full fee upfront. He also refused an unveiling and other fees. Sucks it was Man United, but the deal pretty much saved us
