1. Okay. So no actual bug, but more about how the game is wired. Given my recent string of bad luck due to bugs and/or crashes I was getting jittery again... phew...
2. Indeed, I am also sensitive for such things.
In general, I wish there was some difference between arcade and realism within career mode (F1 codemasters games had that, a decade ago). Some people enjoy RtG with unrealistic clubs getting unrealistic players and that is cool and doable within the game; no problem. But I wish there was also a game mode, with a bit more emphasis on realism on the managerial aspect; where things don't get too easy by the 3rd season.

I would very definitely call it a bug, but it's not terminal like some are, such as crashes, etc.
Just cheat to get to the objective; you can always 'go out' earlier for the storyline, but just make sure you achieve the domestic cup objective, one way or another.

Indifferent start, but things will surely get better.
Kevin Csoboth looks a good loan signing. You are going to have to play him all the time, or else they'll recall him in January.
