Manager Career Random Player Value Decrease

Purchased Christian Pulisic in the summer window and his value increased after the transfer. I’m aware player values can increase or decrease due to transfers or the loan glitch. Played a few games after the transfer close and received a message Pulisic had reached final development which is when I noticed his value decreased randomly at some point. The form is good/excellent and the player is happy.

As test trial I started my career mode from a previous save right at the summer window end. Pulisic's value didn't change immediately but he showed a -5% value change even though the number hadn't updated. I simulated through an international break (2 weeks) and Dewsbury-Hall value suddenly went from $15.5M to $15M.

Anyone know the reason or cause for this? Or is this just simply another EA bug?
